My poker strategy elephant was working fine but than when i updated it asked me to create a new database again and when i entered my same user name and password as last time it keeps saying Connection to database server lost.
Any suggestions of what i can do?

Same thing happened to me. I have had it happen about two weeks ago and had to delete and re-install everything. It worked fine and now it has happened again today...
Guess I'll do it again until someone comes up with a better plan. Good thing I save my HH somewhere safe.
Start -> Programs -> PostgreSQL 8.3 -> Start service should help as well.

I have the same problem. I've tried to reinstall it several times now but same thing always happens once i restart the computer. 
i have the same problem as pokeralle. starting service doesnt work. any other solutions?

You need to post some more infos:
* Which elephant version?
* Which postgres version?
* Is the postgres service running after booting the machine (can be seen in the service control manager)
* Please also post the latest Elephant logfile when this happens.
