thank for assistance.

my system is fully updated. i also tried to repair .NET 4 installation. also installed .NET 3. however .NET 3.5 installer dont start, same behaviour as with Sidekick. maybe somehow related?

should i try to use .NET Framework Cleanup Tool ? is it safe? then try to reinstal .net4?

Hi,

yes - you could try re-installing .Net Framework.

Please report back with your findings.

tried to uninstall whole .NET framework. after reinstall and downloading all updates from Windows update nothing changed.
still cant run Sidekick, same message (same log).

EDIT: found a solution for problem:
this folder needs to be deleted: C:\Users\(your account name)\AppData\Local\Apps

not sure if deletion of this folder affects other application. approval of sidekick developer would be nice ;)

thanks for helping anyway. good care ;)

Deleting this folder would remove any application which uses the Microsoft ClickOnce installer technology. Launching such an app after deleting this folder will automatically reinstall the application, so there should be not problem.

Renaming that folder instead of deleting it would provide a backup in case you need it...

Ciao
