Hi,
I often want to select a range of any hand including a certain card e.g. a 6 so in the range box I type "62+" but that only gives me 65-62 why does it ignore A6-76?
If I go into the matrix view, hold down control and click on 62o it only selects 65o-62o
How can I easily select the range A6-62?
You can't, because there is no such range as A6-62. What kind of hands would that range include?
The + only increases the second number. That is why you won't get 76. If you want that you have to put 72+.
so if the + increases the second number why cant it go past 65? Logically to me 62+ is a range of 62-6A i.e. any hand containing a 6
I guess its down to always putting the highest number first
In equilab to get the range I want it describes it as this - 66,A6s,K6s,Q6s,J6s,T6s,96s,86s,76s,62s+,A6o,K6o,Q6o,J6o,T6o,96o,86o,76o,62o+ which seems overly complicated to me
You can't go past 65 because there is no bigger 6x. If you want 76 it is 7x. So there is no such range as 62-6A because there is no such hand as 6A (at least for Equilab), it is A6.
What you describe looks more like random group of hands than a range and I don't see real use for it. It looks cool in Equilab but that's pretty much it 
I understand that the way I'm writing it is non standard, so the range doesnt really manke much sense, I just think its weird that I cant easily select a 6x hand, also the same thats its not simple to select a range of any two hearts, or 2 clubs etc its a real long way to do.
I've saved some custom ranges now so, not too bad now
