Does Elephant have the ability to show the hero's stats in the HUD? Because I don't seem to be getting mine.

yeah, but this option is not done quite well yet.
In the hud layout manager you can choose up to 3-4 stats will should be shown.
While playing just click the avg stats field, and instead of the avg stats your session stats will be shown.
