Hi,

Elephant was getting really glitchy so I tried to update to the latest version (0.88). Now whenever I try to start the program it tells me that I need to install .NET framework v4. I have this installed already but Elephant won't believe it.

I tried reinstalling both, no luck.

Any ideas? :)

.Net 4 has 2 profiles: Full & Client. For PokerStrategy Elephant you should install Full Profile.

Thanks for the reply.

I seem to have 2 parts of .NET 4 installed - the Client profile and Extended. Does the 'extended' part make it the Full profile?

If not, do you know where I can obtain the Full profile? I've tried a few downloads claiming to be the 'full' version but each one amounts to Client + Extended.

Yes it does.

OK, Elephant is still not starting though. Is there any other reason why the program would not be recognising .NET 4?

Not that i'm aware of. Have you tried reinstalling the .net Framework?

Yep. Still nothing.

Hi SPwoodrose,

please describe your problem in detail, are you getting any error messages while starting the Elephant? Is there something written into the Elephant's logfile?

Thx,
L

Hi,

When starting the Elephant I see this message:

The program then doesn't start. .NET 4 is definitely installed, though.

Is the logfile saved on my computer somewhere?

I think in this case the Elephant logfile is not going to help us.

Have you tried uninstalling the .Net Framework via the windows control panel and reinstalling it manually?

Yes :( Tried reinstalling both the .NET framework and the Elephant, still having the same problem.

Is your windows installation up to date?

I'll have a look what may be the cause to this problem.
