In the beginning of your career, becoming a good player is more important then your profits, so don't worry (don't go broke though) ;)

hey,

cheers Zeffe,

played fixed tonight did well nearly doubled my buy so not bad only played one table for now because i find the fixed limit SHC is alot more in depth then the others, but might try some NL later on but going to chill out for a bit.

Was going to join the fixed coaching tonight but it been cancelled but no probs i'm still catch tomorrows.

cheers

Everyone has these days. Especially SSS players as they are even more prone to taking one bad beat after the other. I know how I feel after taking a day where the variance strikes me down.

Take a break - do some other stuff or play some freerolls and cheap SnGs.

Your relationship with Poker needs some healing time :O

I agree with SoyCD, It's just one of those days and there's nothing you can do about it....

Good luck!

Hey,

New month new targets, i think is the answer.
i want to make $100 by the end of april, i'm fired up and ready to play.

only problem is computer has a virus so i'm having to use my mother's to write this blog.

I'm let you all know how i'm getting on.

Any ideas best music for poker?? dance? rock? Jazz?

I prefer rock - although at best some type of music that doesn't take my attention off the game itself.

As for your target: Monetary targets are good - but targets like "getting rid of leaks" or "playing good poker" by reading a certain amount of literature, posting a certain amount of hands or watching videos are in my opinion much better. They are actually achievable without the influence of variance and usually lead to the achievement of monetary targets indirectly :)

Best regards and good luck with your goals!

OK, good luck with the restart and we will hear about the results soon ;)

hey,

so i now restarted my career and decided to start by play fixed limit and only fixed limit. no switch tho games just fixed until i have completed 10000 hands!!!

started well, good first session, play 4 session in total last three weren't great just could get into at all. just could interest my self in the games. perharp i need to clear my head before i play.

any helpful words would be greatfully received right now i'm not feeling it at all.!!!

Well, obviously after many bad beats you'll dislike the game more, I remember when I was playing .5/1$ FL SH during my downswing(420->210$)I said to myself many times "Fuck this, I quit" then I went and played some SnGs with moderate success and tried some NL etc.

Go read some articles on a different form of the game for fun and learning, then try them out, I'm sure after a while you'll gravitate back to your first game, unless the others suit you better in which case you'll stick with them and overall enjoy the game more which is the most important thing when playing the game =)

Watch some videos too.

Maybe even take a break from poker for a week or so!
