First of all the reasoning behind my shove: I see him call flop and turn with a lot of pocketpairs and draws (even if the board is paired). However I don't want to c/f on the river because of good odds I will get when he decides to shove (24% equity needed to call EV=0). So I decide it's better to move in myself (there is a poker term for this situation, but I forgot).
I see him call some 7x, Ax, 99, TT

Second thing about the hand: I bet 2.40 into 3.35 on turn. Leaving 3.83 behind of his stack in a 8.15 pot... Is it better to move in on turn with an overbet? Is there some rule-of-thumb like if the stack-bet ratio is so much, it's better to move in straight away?

Tnx in advance.

Hi,

given his stack size I would also b/c turn and I think river shove is fine, you´re not going to c7f and he may call you down some medium pp-s or 7x hand. If player likes to float and bet turn if checked I would take c/rai line on the turn

best regards,

And what about the bet on the turn. You don't consider shoving there with his stacksize?

Nah, not really worth. Rather let him come along and might even make hero-calls with weaker PPs. Don't be result oriented. :P
