Just graduated late last year with a degree in Multimedia. Working part time at the moment doing flash animation/web design related things for a very cool design firm. When I'm not at work I've been playing poker lately.. hehe. Would really love to have part time multimedia career/part time poker career. Don't think I enjoy doing the same thing full time so the part time thing for both activities works well. Though things will obviously be slow going with the poker career playing at the 5c/10c tables for now.. but slowly it's growing. ;)

I'm an I.S. Manager in a car company

im a young doctor, finishing my pediatrics training, served the sickest and poorest in my country for several years now. (therefore i dont really make money from that, aside from the small allowance we get fr the govt. actually, its kind of the other way around because if patients dont have money to buy medicine, i cant help it, i have to find them some (sometimes buy myself, sometimes beg donors) because i cant let these kids die. no insurance for all in my country). but dont get depressed. its fun and fulfilling but tiring.

needless to say, i dont have money for poker but thanks to PS, i get free $50 and i can play all i want! (not really because im much too busy at work. they gave me 6weeks off now because i underwent major surgery myself). but i dont know if i will still be able to play once i go back. i really really hope so! i love poker and if asked what would i be doing if i wasnt a doctor, my answer would be - training to be a world poker champ! hehehe... anyway this site is really fun and keeps me occupied while im not allowed to move around much.

btw congrats to the olympic swimmer. simply amazing.

Woah. Finally somebody doing something useful, he he just kidding .

I think it's great that you help people like that. Where are you from? Sounds like your from a poorer country. Maybe you could organize a some kind of a fun raiser together with PS to raise funds for medicine. I mean a lot of people here have a lot of money... Of course provided that you are telling the truth(no offense but a lot of people tell all sorts of bullshit on the internet).

Best of luck with everything!

I definantaly make more at that then poker but the dream is to be able to play poker when they body dies in a few years.

something useful... heheh... thanks for the kind comments.
@dippy: i work in the philippine general hospital. im currently assistant chief resident of the department of pediatrics.
lots of good people have actually been helping which have made a huge difference for lots of kids. (sometimes they just give toys or snacks or crayons, of course that doesnt cure them but they do get more cheerful ) i dont have any experience with online donors, usually they go to the office. (there are official avenues for it). maybe i will ask our chief resident when i get back in 2 weeks. btw really cool idea of a PS tourney for charity.

Well you can make online donations pretty easy, but like I said before, people say a lot of things on the net, soo you would have to verify everything first. Like Chenny8888 said it would have to be official.

My BR isn't to big right now and I decided to stop playing till the summer because of my education, but I would still be glad to donate something for a good cause.

Maybe if SoyCD has read this he can give some further information if such a turney could be arranged. Soy?

Anyway it should be possible, since a girl at another poker site has expressed an interest in a fun raiser(and her cause was kind off dumb if you ask me), and the admin at that site was thrilled about it.

Ok, now some admin or moderator can express his opinion.

I go with purple, me too if ever I will be a successful poker player (just dreaming) I will never ever forget to give money to charities. I'm from Philippines too. Majority of the Filipinos occupy the poor segment of society. Example: A government school teacher receives a salary of $250-$400 only per month, 8 hours of work excluding debts and loans. Now? You can see the the poor in spite of eating 3 times a day, they can only do it twice or once (a very bad one). The hard labor (like carpenter, etc) earns a basic of $4-$8/day (rural and urban areas). There is a shortage of rice wherein a family can buy 1 kilo of rice (NFA; P20/kg) but they can buy commercial rice (an expensive one, 26-40/kg).

I'm just 20 years old right now, but I feel the pain and sympathy of my fellow. I have a neighbor, the husband is a carpenter and the wife is a laundrywoman with 4 children (stay with them) and 2 grandchildren. Most of the time, they eat rice with vinegar alone (thats their breakfast), sometimes no lunch and they can't afford to have current at home (I can't imagine how boring life is). Sometimes I invited the children to eat with us but the main point is I'm not ready to help them.

IMHO, I'm just part of the poor segment of society.

Best Regards,

Prince
