So my last post was 8th of Jan?!?! Crikey, longer than I realised!

January I finshed up with a record month of around $6k with rb and $440 in BOP bonuses. I was actually leading the Neptune low orbit one week with a score that beat the previous week's winner, only to lose out as 3rd by the end of the week!!!

At the start of this month I've added a few $60/18's and it's started off ok.

Garf for 2012 so far...

Hi peoples, over a month since last update!

Well I wish I could report with 3-5k games under the belt but you should know me by now, still horrifically motivated even with bills to pay!! Actually I've a pretty genuine reason for not voluming. I've spent the last 3 weeks with a MAJOR sciatica problem that is only just startign to ease up,,,thank flip!! Wouldn't wish this thing on anyone...well perhaps a few rival regs

Anyways since my last garf I've still managed a nice $64/hr-ish.

I had a slight slump as you can see which actually equated to a 50+bi swing in the $30's. No biggy, but runnings are still pretty horrid at the moment. My sessions are all starting out with huge -cev deficits, ie 30k+ down in like the first hour of 18mans!But I'm getting more n more sure as time goes on that my different style to playing in the last 6 months is helping reduce bad variance.

I'm not playing the $60's anymore unfortunately. I was being staked for them by a well known top SnG player but despite the first sample I played...

...he wanted to end the deal early!! ?( ?( ?( Won't go into too many details but basically he was trying to lure me into giving him ALL my action and as signing me up in the first place then telling me after 5 minuites that it's all my action or no deal anymore didnt work.... Do I look dumb?????

Am still after a stake for $60's and possibly higher so if anyone's interested/loaded I'll defo add you another few K to your year fo sho!

GL ALL

I somehow thought that those 18 mans you're playing are 6 mans x 3 tables. Anyway, what's that sciatica? I've looked up symptomps on google and I'm starting to think I have a mild one too. How did you treat that?

They do both an 18 and 12 man SnG that are 6max, regular speed only, $15 highest buy-in.

The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the human body, can be around half an inch thick (ewww sounds disgusting, I always imagined nerves to be microscopic!). It can be aggravated by a number of things, but long term the reason is from a bulging or herniated disc.

I found an awesome website- and the guy who runs it, Steve Lockhart, sounds like a god send. He educates people that doctors, chiropractors, osteopaths etc etc are all trained to treat the pain and where it is located. But absolutely none of those professions find out the actual LONG TERM cause of back problems. And that's because, according to Steve, is the same for every person alive, simply IMBALANCED MUSCLES. Imbalanced muscles cause either rotated, tilted or in anyway out of line pelvis, which in turn gives you a "short leg". Everyone has this, he says, or pretty much 90% of people. Being very active and sporty makes no odds, no matter how healthy someone thinks they are, we all mostly have a short leg (even if only 1mm, still not level), or an out of line pelvis etc.

So his answer to a LONG TERM cure is getting the erector spinae muscles balanced first of all, which are the muscles that run down either side of the spine. This is often done by deep tissue massage but you can do it yourself using back balls. Then he does a specially formulated yoga program that takes around an hour, to do a few days a week or as often as you get time, which is designed to straightened legs and pelvises.

I have purchased his program but so far haven't as of yet undertaken the yoga. What I've done so far is used the back balls which is supposed to provide instant relief, started taking ginger as this has awesome medicinal properties that some sciatica sufferers have reported does wonders (it's an anti inflammatory amongst other things), started on vitamin supplements as vitamin B12 is meant to also do wonders for similar problems, plus done a few of the easier less time consuming exercises that come with the program.

Doing so many different things it's hard to say which has stopped the pain but if I had to guess I'd say it was the back balls. I didn't get INSTANT relief but relief the next day and onwards. I'm going to embark on the yoga and everything else properly soon, and get all straightened out. Apparently virtually ALL pain in the human body is attritbuted through the spine and having imbalanced, knotted, seized etc erector spinae muscles and sorting these out is meant to virtually renew your ife. No headaches, tons more energy, blah blah.

Here's a link to all his stuff on youtube which has links to the site. Take a look.

I don't expect to play anymore on the 31st of March so here it is.

It has been one mixed bag of a month! It started off well having had a disappointing end to Feb. Including the last 2 days of Feb, the start of March saw 8 consecutive winning days. That actually doesn't sound much but it flipping well is in SnG's!!

Things carried on fairly smoothly, then as you can see I had a break even stretch of nearly 500 games, reaching a 50bi ds in the $30/18's.

So I decided to start mixing in some 45's and in the last week have also dabbled in some STT's again. Both formats have gone excellently.

Breaking things down, the most important game to me that I play, the $30 18man, saw an 18% ROI over 400 games. The strange thing about this is that looking at my chip ev I should have won even more. Running at 8bb/100, EV adjusted reckoned it should have been more like 14bb/100. Whatevs, none of that chip EV stuff ever makes sense anyway!!

Now despite the fact I am alot more concerned with my $30 ROI than anything else, I have grown some concern of late over my back to basic ROI in the $15s, as it hasn't measured up to my $30 comparison of late at all! Glad to say from 400 games I ran at 16% _biggrin: _biggrin:

Onto my small sample of 45-mans and I've managed 22% ROI from 107 games. It's the $15's I've done remarkably well in. Sadly from 14 $30 games (which hardly run at all btw), I was getting very frustrated with building monster chip leads then being out by the time FT or bubble came along due to horrid luck. I was determined to bink one of them but couldn't better a 4th. Let me tell you that that 4th place was one of the most excrutiating bubbles of my entire life!! This is why I hate 45s so much because most of the bubbles are ridiculous! The RNG consistently allows the all in players to double up over and over again (rigged obv) and this particular bubble last from bb800 to bb3000!!!! HALF A FUCKING HOUR!!! I went in the to FT 2nd in chips and come bubble I was sat in 6th from 8 with like 1.1bb left with two other players on 0.5bb!!! The worst part was those players with 0.5bb were UTG and BB and I was in MP wth A8s!!! Ugh, so so sick I just closed my eyes and went with it and miraculously hit two pair when the fucking chip leader decided to come along with aboslutely nothing aswell, which we know he always hits with 99.99999% of the time. Then as I said, from that point on I miracled a 4th!! Toughest games ever, $300 18's are easier!!! LOL

I can detail many reasons why 45-mans are way the hardest format of all SnG's but I'm not going to divulge too much about that because everyone will leave them and jump in my games and I don't want that!!!

And so onto the 9-mans which I've messed about in literally the past 2 days, covered 69 games for 35% and 480 bux

Before typing this update, I went back to my first post and scanned a few of the initial posts. Those tough times I was having seem like a lifetime ago now and yet the blog is not quite one year old. Reading how I was bricking 18 from 20 games set after set after set. I almost feel like crying knowing I felt like crying at that time.

In addition to this, I just deleted a further long paragraph about my game, deciding it's best not to jinx things and get ahead of myself as I could spring another 6 months of hell that I used to experience all the time. I also don't want to give too much info away either. There are many regs out there, especially 18m, getting together and forming stables, teaching more and more people the best way to play. I couldn't be more against this. These regs are guys going for SNE making a fucking ton of money per month and are just being plain greedy trying to make more money from teaching people! Which in turn is going to be UBER detrimental to the games they play in the long run.

Me personally, I have stated on one or two forums I will teach someone to be the best but my cotsts will be ridiculously high and as such have had no takers. So I have given help for free....to online friends I like and respect (which of all the regs is very few!!).

The one testimonial I have is from maveriks777. Reading his blog, he'd signed with SNG Protege (a site I'm sure most people reading this will have heard of), run by the legendary and awesome crushing Glitlr. Mavs was getting regular coaching from Glitlr but for some reason still wasn't performing. So again, reading his blog I saw he was getting very frustrated with what he said was runbad, so I offered to go over some hh's for free....to help a mate. Well...I'm not going to post any graphs, you can look them up yourselves. Let's just say that I spoke to Mavs on the 2nd of Feb...see his graph from that point, then check the 6 months prior.

Yes I'm barging even more now but I must stress very strongly that by no means does it take a thing away from coaching he received at Protege. Mavs said himself that basically all I told him was exactly what Glitlr had said, the only difference was that I typed it all out and he read it as emails and had it to read over and again and take his own time digesting. The Protege training was all verbal, over skype etc. I also got it through to him a little better I think about the importance of cutting tables. He was running like 24 or so. His post Feb graph is 12-15 tabling, like I do. It speaks for itself.

Finally, this is my graph for the first quarter of 2012.

With RB this is $60 an hour. I would be overjoyed to have the next three quarters mirror the first for a nigh on $60k year. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

So it's happened. The decent run has...not only come to an end...but been smashed to such oblivion that despite all the runbad hell I've experienced in my poker career (and believe me that's more than 95% of you!) I have NEVER EVER seen anything like this. I've had an utterly appalling April so far despite actual number of games and total amount of losses not being that big, it's the speed in which the bad beats are taking place. Today was the last straw. It was so bad that I was nigh on hyperventilating and had to close the client with 3 or 4 games still left remaining. I fucked off over $400 in half an hour of SnG's abi $20. I challenge any of you to actually do this DELIBERATELY (not playing more than 12 tables), you fucking wouldn't be able to even if you just shoved every single hand!!!

Every pocket pair I'm up against is hitting it's set...not 50%, not 75%...but more like 98%. I've never seen so many fucking sets hit one after the other...like I said I feared for my life. Pulse rate was so high I had to get off.

I am now getting close to 1k games break even. As usual all confidence is shattered. My hourly has been SLASHED having maintained almost $70 for over 6 months and 6k games it is now almost half for that period again. I physically cannot play at the moment after the totally incredible occurances from earlier on. Still suffering post traumatic stress...not even joking.

Yeh I mean I know there's plenty of people out there who suffer such sickness way worse than me. For example there's one or two 180 regs currently enduring 1000+ bi downswings!! I mean ONE THOUSAND BUY-INS MAN!!! I would have blown my own fuckin brains in looooooooooooong ago if I was them. I seriously do not know how like SNE chasers and such just keep going unaffected by things, I can't do it...I just have to stop. Nightmare.

On a sidenote I just downloaded betfair's software and pissed a 30-man (won) in half an hour flat! lol. Bloody HUD's a mare on it tho.

30 man last 22min on avg and you have 2 bbs on the bubble on avg, they're hyper super extra turbo.

Anyway, congrats on the downswing, it will prolly turn out healthy for you in the future. :P

They're standard hyper levels, 3 minutes.

No sir, I really don't need anymore downswings in my entire life. I've suffered enough with them in the past to account for 4 or 5 grinders let alone one!!

So, things haven't gotten better, as I'm sure you would have guessed. What I am currently seeing at the tables beggars absolute belief. Yesterday I was heading for my record cashless streak. Well for 18-mans my record stands at 43 and having asked every reg I've ever spken to what their record is, I've yet to find anyone who can beat it. I recall epitmomised said his was 37 or something.

So as I say, was sitting on a 40 cashless streak grinding yesterday but they weren't all 18m. Some were but there was also 45s and 180s in there. I got to 48 before I made some shitty min cash which then cut into the graph further back along; that cut the overall streak down to about 38. So officially it still stands at 43 but I DID get to 48 before winning anything, and that was only a few bux anyway.

Since Saturday, I had 7 SIGNIFICANT cashes in 170 games. And a few mins. From 18-90 man I am down 70 bis in 120 games.

I say 90-man bcause today, after an excruciatingly EVIL 1.5 hour starting session in 18/45s whereby I was down 30k in chip ev in half an hour, no game on higher than bb200- and lost $200, I had a brainwave. Let's play REG SPEEDS!! Of course, if there's one way to slow variance down a bit it has to be that! The problem is that nothing above $15 loads and even $15s don't load too quick. So I fired up 20+, a mix of those 18m 6-maxers, some 27m, 45m, even a $4/180 before I checked to realise they take over FOUR hours to win (that didn't matter because I was obviously busto to some 90-10 flip wthin 5 minutes).

BRICKED THE LOT!!!!! Tell a lie, I won one of the $15/18 6m's. So 20 out of 21 REG SPEED SnG's bricked. I was huge CL in 5 or 6 of the games I was cruising brilliantly, aaaaaaas ever. As ever, always fucking as ever. The saaaaame old boring rigged RNG pattern of giving you a massive stack then wiping you out completely (usually somehwre close to bubble) in some sick scenario, something like this one.

This stupid mofo shoved almost FOURTY BB's over me. I sensed it alllll the way round the table. Fold, fold, fold, my mind already sees what's going to happen. Right, we're going to tarp this mother! He's hardly played a hand, nothing's gotten round for him to open, I can sense he isn't going to have a clue how to play pker vs the awesome me and sure enough just jams 40 bigs with A2o. Incidentally this was 14 left in a 90m so practically bubble.

Poker Stars, $6.50 + $0.50 NL Hold'em Tournament, 100/200 Blinds, 7 Players

BB: 7,392
UTG: 1,996
UTG+1: 5,548
MP: 6,314
CO: 9,765
BTN: 12,160
Hero (SB): 7,768

Pre-Flop: (300) Q♦ A♠ dealt to Hero (SB)
5 folds, Hero raises to 500, BB raises to 7,392 and is All-In, Hero calls 6,892

Flop: (14,784) 3♣ Q♣ 7♣ (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

Turn: (14,784) 9♣ (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

River: (14,784) T♠ (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

Results: 14,784 Pot
BB showed 2♦ A♣ and WON 14,784 (+7,592 NET)
Hero showed Q♦ A♠ and LOST (-7,292 NET)

The second I saw the 3 clubs I knew I was a 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999
9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999
9999999999999999999999999999999999999999% dog. There was no other possible outcome. None. If I could have paused time right there and found a bookie to give me the odds, I'd have put every cent I could find on losing that hand.

So now, I simply CANNOT play. Imagine it, you get told by the doctor that you're allergic to water. But how the fuck can I survive Dr?? You just have to keep drinking it and suffer. That's what this is like. I don't want to fucking drink the water but I have to!!!

OR, another simile might be, imagine you're working your ass off for your boss making something or other. For example my old profession was making boats/yachts from fibreglass. You work your effing nads off each and every day and throughout the day your boss walks out his office and DESTROYYYYYYYS everything you've just made with a chainsaw. He then says "RIGHT!! NOT ONLY ARE YOU GETTTING NO WAGES THIS WEEK/MONTH, BUT YOU CAN PAY MEEEEE £5K!!!!!!"

How would you feel if that's what real jobs were like? Suicidal? Wanting to smash your entire surroundings to complete oblivion??? WELCOME TO POKER MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!

ps I am 400k down in chip ev for 500 games.
