Thanks. For further considerations, how high does my stack have to be to consider calling? How about the all in call at 2:1 odds?

Thats the weirdest looking flop I've seen in a very long time.

why are you talking about pot odds?? You're on the button, your odds are close to 1:1. Plz explain your question, or ask again tonight, since I dont get it. I get the feeling you don't understand the basics of pot odds...

I understand pot odds. I was talking about the all in call. I understand I made a mistake calling a raise in the first place, but after seeing the flop, should I have folded or called again as I did?

Also regarding the subject, is AJ considered a fairly weak hand to call a raise? I had a reasonable chip advantage to be able to push him if he hadn't had queens in his hand.

back to the all in call, him pushing after seeing flop I considered a serious weakness, such as having no clubs. So, there would have been 9 clubs left, 3 more outs for a straight, and even a jack or an ace might have been enough adding me 5 more puts. In total - 17 outs * 2 = 34. Pot odds 2:1 (his remaining stack at the flop was roughly the same as the total pot at the time) made me call.

Should I have thought about it the other way or was my call on the flop correct? Winning would have made me a clear chip leader, after losing I still had 2k in chips - about 12 big blinds.

Looking for as deep insight as anyone can offer.

ace may be an out, maybe not, clubs may be outs, but maybe not. Id say. Fold, because I think your outs are not live too often. His push is standard play, doesnt look weak at all imo. Fold pre -> as played, fold flop.

1750 for 3510, you need 33% to win, you need 9 live outs, on avg. you wont have that with Ax J:c on this board.

fold preflop and fold flop, the reasons hele told you
and don't think you may bully around players postflop, when they are short, he makes his conti bet and is committed, there is no room for you to bully him.
And you should read about the gap concept, if you think AJ is way to bad in this spot, to think of calling because of Odds or your stack.
