I thought that the pokerstrategy.com discount also applied to upgrading from HM1.
but when I go to http://www.holdemmanager.com/buy/211/holdem-manager-2 I see the $55 on the buy now for the software,
but when I click on the "upgrade HM1" tab, I end up at at the FAQ here

I would swear that last week it took me to a page where I could order the update for the same $55 as the discount purchase.

What other limitations come with buying a small stakes version besides the stake size? Will I have the same control over creating custom reports/stats that a full version user has? Thanks

if I understand it correctly, the only limitations are the stakes for cash games or the tournament buy-in.
I have not seen/read/heard of any other limitation.

I downloaded HEM2 and tried a 30-day trial, but I get an "Operation has timed out" error every time I log in. However, I can access the software if skip registration and continue with a 7-day trial instead.
I am afraid to purchase the software thinking that I will have problem logging in once I got the full licensed version.
Please help. Thanks.

Could not register with the server.
Unable to connect to the remote server --> Unable to connect to the remote server --> A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 50.16.197.140:80
ANy ideas?
Is there any limit in time from the day you buy the licence until the day that you activate it (use it) for first time?
Because i am not in my hause and i want to buy OM2 but i will use it for first time after 22 april.

There were some server issues yesterday which are now resolved and this would account for both of your issues, I would suggest you try registering again and if you still having problems please send your log.txt file from C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager folder. (XP users will find that in C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager folder.
If you have extensions turned off then it may be just called log. Please email the log, directly after you have the issue and before you restart HM2, to hm2support@holdemmanager.com along with a link to the thread or a summary of the issue you’re having.

There is no limit at all so you can register whenever it suits you, no hurry or deadline to worry about.

sorry, I forgot to check back.
I can see it on the link you posted, and I guess I can just click on the "buy now" and buy it.
but I already have HM1, so I thought I was "supposed to" upgrade.
the upgrade tab on that page doesn't really seem to go anywhere productive.
I guess, since the upgrade & purchase prices are the same, I should just buy it from the "buy now" button & stop dithering.
