Thought I'd complete as small blind in this position due to so many people in the pot meaning I would have very good implied odds if I hit something decent (eg. top pair with Q, 2 pair or straight). When raised I was going to fold but as everybody else called I thought maybe limping in still made sense.
1. Is this ever profitable or should I tighten up at this stage preflop?
2. Should I have called the small bet on the turn in case I hit with my gutshot straight draw?
