TBH I'm in a strange place in my poker experience at the moment and I'm not sure how much I'll be playing limit in the future.

Anyways I'll be keeping up with your blog. Also you might want to switch to stars. Its as good as a money printing factory over there. In 15 sessions and 8000 hands im +400BB and another +100BB with milestone bonus and redeposit bonus. And that by no means reflects my skill level I'm very well aware of many leaks I have.

Thanks for the feedback I wish I could play tracked on Stars but alas I found Stars before I found PS and I need to keep this status if I'm ever going to learn anything.

PS any LHE 6 Max tips & tricks would be welcome

My #1 tip for our limits is either have initiative or sd value or dont be in the pot at all. I lose most of my $ when both of these keys are not met.

Although this is probubly the case for most small stakes games, I do believe at 2/4+ this doesn't necessarily need to be the case as your opponent may be sophisticated enough to barrel air or fold air to a check raise. At these levels bets (Expecially donk bets except for guys who donk bet every flop (I've run into a few)) usually mean "Durrrr I have a hand I like and will never fold."

Anyways I think I'm going to start a blog myself as I'm a terrible blogger in the past but I think I have the background and drive to possibly follow through this time round.

Thanks to VorpalF2F I now have a working version of PokerHands. ♦ I imported all my 5CD hands from last month and produced a pretty graph not bad eh?

Especially when you consider that my ROR was huge as I only started with 6.65 BB ($1.33) in my Pokers Stars roll.

I just played a small session of .1/.1 PL 5CD on bwin and found it a nerve racking experience, there was no FL action to be had so I gave it a go. I was following a similar strategy to FL and opening similar ranges from similar positions (only 5 seats on bwin).

It was Ok and people were making the same mistakes as they do at FL, though of course the penalty was much much higher. I did find it hard when I opened AAxxx UTG and the CO re-potted it, I called like a fool (that's the FL reflex) and got owned by trips, he discarded 2 and bet post draw and I paid him off unimproved. FL had swayed me into thinking that anyone who draws 2 is holding a pair + kicker 99% of the time. Oops!

I recovered in the end and made a modest $.50 profit but I need to formulate a different plan for that variant.

Ooooooo! A 5CD blog. I will be following (tbh not sure why I wasn't anyway). PL 5CD >> FL 5CD. There are some hands in my blog if you can be bothered to trawl through it, which I certainly can't any more. It could do with Spring cleaning to cut it down to a more manageable size (about 20 posts probably).

When I was moving up in FL 5CD my BR management was up at 100BB, down at 80BB, which worked well (I ended up playing 2/4 after starting with $25 on 10c/20c). Good luck!

Thanks for the BRM tip! As you can see from above I wasn't using BRM in my experiments with 5CD and I was pretty luck to have hit an up swing and have EvGalois' articles & videos on my side. Just knowing what to open from where and what to bin was hugely +EV.

If you're on BU stand pat on AQJ98/KQJ98 or sth (AK is too good! ) but not with 77432! KK is enough to open raise UTG at most tables.

You should also think of some bluffing range when you draw 3.
It's a bit impossible from UTG/HJ but on CO and BU you can be more creative ♠_love: BU vs SB or BB if drawing goes 3-3 value bet AA and KKA.
If they won't pay you off with QQ/JJ simple raise any5 from BU ♠_love:

Some one call for the man with the gun, I've fallen at the first fence. The database is fine but can't get the hud running for love nor money. VorpalF2F has been kind and patient but still no joy, I'm tempted to write my own hud program but that will take time (and if I start that I'd probably end up coding the complete thing with a SQLite backend).

iii) I'll have a mooch through my limited <2500 hands but I don't think that's going to give me much of an indication.

All in all I'm going to spend this month working on my 5CD theory and database. And maybe get a few hands in when I can.
