Quite correct.
Points earned every month from the first to last day is what determines the current status and the status of the following month.
For example, if you earn enough to go over 100 points on the 28th of May, you will at least remain silver for the rest of May and throughout all of June, regardless of points earned in June, the counter resetting to 0 on the first of June would not downgrade you back to Bronze.
