so 11 hands and 5 minutes later, im -3 on the day...pathetic. i know i overplayed the first one, but i feel like he has enough hands in his range there to make the play profitable, plus he instashoved flop, displaying weakness to me or a hand he thinks is good and i'll call with worse like TT, A9s, JTs , JTo,67s 67o, JJ QQ KK slowplayed...but no he just has the nuts. oh well try again next time this is why we use brm i guess.....

in other news my 60 day trial ended for pt3 ..but;
i get my hud back up and working again tomorrow hopefully, if my credit card payment goes onto the card. there will be enough on there to grab a registration code for the full microstakes version of PT3, which i found to be incredibly useful and probably will pay for itself in the first week, if not the first 2 or 3 days. i kind of took the weekend off my regular playing schedule of like 3-4 hrs a day just cuz i didnt have my hud and felt it would be +ev to do other things while i waited to get my hud back up and running again. decided to play some zoom on friday without a hud...not a good idea. $-30 in about 20 minutes ...fml. so needless to say i understand how valuable one is now.

exactly. And you cant even make a "light" call on the turn, or even a second strong bet because most likely will just have to overplay the river, fold, face a shove or 100ish bb bet on the river, and who likes to call that with tptk anyways?? not moi.

Yes tomaloc, ive been trying too many bluffs at the zoom tables lately. i think its time to just go back to my bread n butter with sngs, but mostly cash games. no more zoom for now.

i cant play too much anymore, i clearly need to study some more so i will be dedicating the next little bit to just studying and watching film.

just completed the beginner's course lesson 3. Fortified what I knew about pot odds/implied odds as well as some basic maths that i found useful as well in the podcast of lesson 3. I think I could have played today, but im busy and not interested in speed spew (zoom) at the moment. i'm excited to get to lesson 4 though, as im sure there are more useful things in there as well. i slept from 6pm last night until about 7am today. i really needed some good sleep as i have just been so run down lately with everything im trying to pack into one day.

Got a few moments of play in tonight as hoped for. Definately not my greatest session ever, but i feel like im spewing 20 BB's too easily to $1 stacks with hands like AQ and TT, they look so pretty for $1, but i had 3 situations tonight where i open/called AI on SS's. this is how it went:
hand 1- AQ vs AK lose
hand 2- TT vs JJ- lose
hand 3- AQ vs AK again! lose
-60bb, and this seems like a giant leak to me, so i ask- what is your range against a SS everyones input is required here !! maybe like AKo, AKs, JJ+ would be a decent range against 20-30BB for AI?

I had a couple monsters that didnt get paid off, but thats just because i either got too greedy or maybe they just didnt have anything to pay me with, which happens.

In my opinion:

1st hand) It depends on his calling range, if he can call you with a lot of Txs and FDs then shoving is fine.

2nd hand) Don't raise that big. Raise something about 0.45$, if he has air he will fold it anyway.

Does he call. 45c with a draw and i play oop the rest of the pot? I want to create max fold equity on a draw heavy board cuz i dont want him continuing with a draw/pair without overpaying. I play my made hands similar to this as well. ,45 is not a bluff imo. Its giving away free money.

Ι don't think that players @ nl5 will fold a draw either you bet .45 or .74, do you think that he is going to fold KQss, 87ss or FD + gutshot? He will fold a lot of over cards on that board either you raise .45 or .74, but when he has something worth playing you lose more money if you raise more. After all, if he has a draw you are in a coinflip situation VS a fd most of the time.

So if he has AhQh on that board and you raise .45, will he fold or not? Are you giving away free money ? Another alternative is floating flop.

That's my opinion, you can ignore it and play your way if you are winning and you are satisfied then it's fine.

I'm going to do some review of last nights 2nd place finish of a 90 man sng as well as my play today in PLO5. More review will be done on today then last night, because last night was just a for fun kind of thing. Today was serious serious.

So last night I dominated a 25c 90 man sng from beginning to end, never really falling below 20bb in chips and completely dominating the tight passive player who unfortunately had me beside him the whole tourney pretty well. It was all just pretty standard stuff, doing the opposite of what they wanted me to do and winning a lot of pots. I think my vpip was like 40 the whole tourney and pfr of 30 lol.. but obv ppl dont use too much huds and stuff in those types of things. I can certainly say i feel comfortable at the 25c sngs right now because i just dont care if i lose, meaning i will be more agressive when i need to and go for the win, while still being able to make all my decisions on a non-result oriented base of thinking. I shouldve took first, because the guy in hu play was going all in every 3 hands preflop without me even making a bet. the blinds were reletively small even at this point. i decided to take a stand with 99, which turned out this way:

see where this is going? can you predict things about to turn around for me? Well save the dramatic pause; they turned around. FAST. guy sitting to my immediate right will be in a lot of these next pots you will see, because i had a really REALLY good read on him and started to bluff him off small/medium size pots with really small bets. well whatever this meant to me, i started using to my advantage creating a super loose image for myself. and playing in position really helped as wwell. here was where it turned around:

Has everyone lost faith in me or what? I love getting replies in my blog, and i really do read and appreciate the replies i get. I will try harder to actually reply to all your replies as well, as i kind of slack sometimes or get caught up in the neww day. Keep the support flowing, you people here are the only ones who believe in me at this point as far as poker os concerned.

Anyways. Last night began terribly, losing $10 right off the hop, and going from first in a 90 man to busto all in 10 mins after having my aces cracked 2 times by the same player. I lost 3 bi on the 25c tourneys and 1 $1 bi for the premier skil league qualifier. Then lost a 55c bi as well. Had my set of 8's busted by a flush in a cash game and lost 100bb in a 3 way all in in plo2 with top set+ nut fd on flop ...

So i said fuck it ill take a break and grind the nl5 for a bit. It was great. Made some good plays and a few spewy ones, but overall i felt like my edge was better then ever. +3 bi and bankroll is at ~$60 again

So this week would be +~$30 and im ok with that because im playing well, not going on tilt and playing signifigantly less. Im having a fuckin blast as well. I'm truely enjoying the real essense of poker

but i did it to myself and taught myself a $60, and a good ~1000 hr lesson on what happens when you dont use proper brm, dont implement stop loss when the run is bad, or playbad or both. it was a big waste of time and i dont even care about the $$...just wish i wouldve used that time on other things. i guess i was just 1 hand away from tilt the whole time. i dont want to take this game seriously anymore. its just not worth my time. i got better things to do. ill use this as a hobby and thats about it.

now im just going to do this and forget about this horrible nightmare.

You know that you can beat those guys. Take a break, save some money and start from scratch (NL2) with proper bankroll managment. I don't agree with the stop loss rule. If you are playing your A+ game and you are losing 5 buy ins because of bad luck, you should continue playing. You should stop when you are tilting or start playing bad.
