Tnx for positive feedback everyone:)

24. the KNUCKLE ROLL

Difficulty: 3/5
I like: 4/5

I also forgot to shoot this trick with new camera so all I've got is this old video. Again it's not a tutorial it's only a trick performed.

It's hard to explain this trick but the trick itself is quite easy you just have to practise it many times so it becomes smooth… I tried to explain it but it's so confusing that I'm not going to write it. I'll film the tutorial some other time.

(Meanwhile try it slowly yourself, shift chip from one finger to another using just two fingers (chip is resting on your index finger, middle finger comes down slowly and palm side od the finger turns the chip)).

25. the FINGER FLIP #1

Difficulty: 3/5
I like: 4/5

Movement of this trick is not the usual one and that's the only thing why it's a bit harder to perform it nicely.

Before you try fliping it over do something else first. Touch the edge of a chip with the fingertip of your index finger – feel only the first chip. 6th second – lift the chip without fliping….then try fliping the chip over. And again. And again… After that there is only one thing to do – practice (some don't think practise is important

but look where he is now…association came to my mind and had to post it).

This trick can't be performed slowly so I couldn't show it slower than it is shown.

26. the REVERSED TWIRL

Difficulty: 4/5
I like: 2/5

For this trick I could copy-paste introduction for the under reversed flip with one small difference - you're reversing the middle chip.

I'll post it you never know somebody might like this trick…

I'm grateful for your comments but I have a little request. Could you write what you don't like/ miss/ would you like to see? It's always nice to hear a praise but I think most of us learn from mistakes. And since I'm one of those people who believe everything can be done better I'm asking you this guys.

@ribbo...muscle pass is a pain in the ass, but I'll see what I can do about it. (at the moment it's just the muscle...pass is nowhere to be found :f_confused: )

27. the LOOKOUT

Difficulty: 3/5
I like: 5/5

My favourite chip trick.

Starting position is shown at 5th second. Before fliping chip over you should see which part of your finger will you use for this trick. Go few times over edge to feel it and then try fliping it. This trick is nothing special but I had such problems mastering it I had two choices to like or hate it...so I decided for first option and now I really like it:)

28. the ABDUCTION

Difficulty: 4/5
I like: 3/5

This trick is an »upgrade« of the lookout. I must say though this trick can be successfully performed only when lookout is performed 100% times. And even then many repetitions will be needed to perform it successfully.

29. the DANISH TWIRL

Difficulty: 3/5
I like: 5/5

My second favourite chip trick.

Starting position is shown in 9th second. Bringing the rear chip with your ring finger shouldn't be a problem. After that – 12th second – you should hold chip with your thumb and ring finger and then make a twirl with your middle finger.

This is the most effective way of bringing the rear chips forward. It's fast and effective so it should be used in combos.

30. the RUN AROUND

Difficulty: 3/5
I like: 5/5

Starting position is shown in 9th second. Important for this trick is shown in 11th second - when you roll rear two chips towards your little finger the remaining chip should be able to stand between ring and middle finger without help of any other finger. In the beginning this will be hard but take your time and your fingers will get use to this .

After that middle finger is the one which flips the chip behind it. With practice you will be able to do it smoothly.

How are your chip tricks progressing? I hope I'll be able to see one soon _biggrin:

Tomorrow I'm posting the remaining 5 tutorials... _cool:

31. the TRIANGLE

Difficulty: 4/5
I like: 5/5

Starting position is shown in 11th second. After getting the middle chip out - 14-17th second – place the chip between little and ring finger. If it won't work, remove other two chips and practice with only one chip.

Now you're firmly holding the chips – 18th second. You have to shift chips as it is shown in 20th second and flip the chip over.

It's important to finish the trick so returning the chips to it's starting position is necessary. Don't just drop chips after performing triangle (I've seen that) – that's ugly. Pokerstrategy has style and you're part of it.

After mastering triangle you should try a variation with the twirl.

32. the SCISSOR TWIRL

Difficulty: 4/5
I like: 5/5

This trick is nicely shown in the video and I don't think there are many things to say about it.

It would be a good idea to stop at the 5th second to see how you should hold the chip (it's very unusual grip so you'll have to try it many times before your middle and ring finger will be able to catch it correctly). Turning the chip in a way shown in 6th second will be a torture but eventually you will do it.

As you can see when you master it you can perform it quite smoothly. It's very nice combination after roll&rest.

33. the YAX

Difficulty: 4/5
I like: 4/5

This trick should be shown before because it's not so interesting trick. I have an argument to put it here - my lucky number is 33 I think there won't be anything wrong if I do so :). I was playing with chips and created this trick. It's nothing special but…

Starts with twirl and the chip is shown as in the triangle but instead of fliping you have to hold those two chips and roll the remaining one inside.

34. the LIFT TWIRL

Difficulty: 5/5
I like: 4/5

This is very similar trick to roll & rest with something extra. This isn't the best presentation of the trick but this is the best I have at the moment.

For performing this trick you need a good concentration and lots of attempts.

35. the BUTTERFLY

Difficulty: 5/5
I like: 5/5

After splitting the chips – 2nd second – place them in way your that first two chips are held by little and ring finger and other two by middle finger and back side od your index finger. When chip are placed in that way your thumb takes the chip (inside one) and other chip from other pair is taken by middle finger – 4th second.

Returning the chips to it's starting position is also not easy but you will see with practice how they should be returned.

Here is also one other variation of this trick.

There is also one other way to perform this trick (which most people use) which is also not bad but unfortunatelly I didn't filmed it.

This is nice trick to finish with _biggrin:

I hope you enjoyed the videos and the explanations weren't totally out of context. I was trying my best so I really hope the videos and explanations are instructional. You're definitely in better position than I was - learning from explanations, watching pictures (there were some videos but not for all tricks).
Enjoy practising :) and don't tilt while practising
Don't forget posting your chip tricks here!

I actually recorded few more tricks a while ago but forgot to post it here. Don't expect super tutorials more like videos of tricks you could try if you're tired of old ones. Here are 4 new tricks...

36. the FLOATER

Difficulty: 4/5
I like: 3/5

Nothing flashy just one more trick:)

37. the SNAP

Difficulty: 3/5
I like: 5/5

Quite easy trick which I actually really like. Again nothing special but it can be implemented into some combo.

38. the STEP UP

Difficulty: 2/5
I like: 2/5

This one is easy to learn but not practical and that's why you probably won't see it or use it much. But you never know...

38. the STEP UP 2

39. the 5 STAR

Difficulty: 5/5
I like: 4/5

This one is pretty hard! Let's say I can pull it off somehow but it's far from being performed smoothly.

Still waiting to see first hero to post his chip trick or combo :f_cool:

I would be nice if pokerstrategy threw some CHIP TRICK COMPETITION for status or something like this. I could help picking the winner :f_biggrin:

I got myself some proper chips and tried the first couple of your splendid tricks recently. I failed. I think my hands are too big. Any tips for big blokes with long skinny fingers?

And before you ask, I've cut my fingernails since this drawing was made.

Having long skinny fingers is a good thing for chip tricks. :f_thumbsup: You just need some time to get used to shape and weight of your chips. Do the shuffling, do it with 6, then 8 chips. After that try thumb flip. And when you're good at it try the twirl. This would be my recommendation because twirl is quite handy and it's not that hard as it seems.

Take your time and it will come. Trust me when it clicks, tricks come one after another...it may take some time but it clicks eventually:D

Chip tricks may be performed easier when having average* fingernails.

(average = 2nd day after cutting until 5th day) :f_wink:

Beware though - playing with chips is HIGHLY addictive !!

After I learned the basic chip shuffling, I started doing it 24/7 ...
At one point, started getting pain in my wrist/forearm and it became esp. annoying/interruptive during my gym workouts ...

What to do? Learn and do the same thing with the other hand ofc ...
Same thing happened eventually and I had no other choice than to go cold turkey and ditch the addictive habbit ...

Quitting was tough - biggest addiction I've battled with :f_biggrin: (seriously - overall I do not have an addictive personality, but this one stuck hard - I'd sometimes be sitting behind a desk in a place where there were no chips and I'd feel a strong urge to shuffle and daydreamed about doing it  )

Wow, How could I have missed this blog? This seems awesome!

Gonna steal some chips from a friend and get practicing right away(or next weekend, when I'm at his house for a homegame...)

Agree with that. Nowadays I always have chips beside me when playing. While learning certain tricks there was "minor" addiction until mastering it, but today this is something natural and I don't miss it that much even if I don't see chips for several days :f_smile:

loooooooooooooool this is probably really rare but obviously can occur :f_p:

Let us judge if all that suffering was worth it :f_cool: Post a video of your combo tricks.

@fruktpuff... I sure hope you will able to show off some of this tricks at your next home game :f_cool:

I have one new trick of my own but I'm posting it only after I see at least one chip trick video posted here :f_biggrin:

Ofc, not saying you shouldn't do it, lolz :f_biggrin:

Just sayin', addictive stuff ...

I "dumped" the habit for a month to let my hands recover and heal ...
Now I'm back at it ... chips in my hands 24/7 when I'm behind the PC :f_biggrin:
