Oh ok! I didn't visit the forum for a while because I needed to focus on my final year. Looking forward to revisit the hand reviews you had done for me

I thought I'd pop in and see your blog since you popped in and saw mine ![]()
I see your a sports fan, I hope you dont get the CFL down there, the Bombers will crush your soul if you do.
I myself being from Vancouver and you know.... used to celebrating Grey Cups and such..... wish you the Bombers the best of luck (for an inferior bunch). If Buck could only stay healthy.....
Time to revive this thing now that I'm out of the Cebu house. If anyone wants my trip report on Cebu it's in the 2 months 2 million pesos thread. ![]()
I'm sitting in my hotel room in Manila, gonna head out for the airport in about an hour. My flight leaves at 4:30 pm, and I get to Vancouver at 1:30 pm, same day. Time travelling ftw. I'm super excited to get home. Will be able to spend about 2 weeks in Winnipeg before I pack up again and move to Calgary. Kinda excited about apartment hunting and finding a new place for me to live. It's weird living in one place for 23 years and then all of a sudden bouncing around from city to city all the time like a nomad - but I'm enjoying it.
Also, I'm planning on going to Montreal for 5 days at the end of August for the Stardust Canadian Poker Classic to play the main event, $1000+100 buyin. Will be selling action in the staking forum soon for keep an eye out for that if you want a piece. HUSNG reg hugoboss2727 offered to let me stay at his place while I'm in Montreal, so I'm going to take him up on that. Not only is hugoboss a solid player himself, but he's living with HUSNG legends pistons87, iftarii, jackstack99, helio tyf, and jblaich. So it's an awesome opportunity to meet and learn from some of the best in the business.
Lots of fun stuff coming up soon, so I'll try not to be lazy and keep this blog updated frequently.
Cheers guys,

I still followed bombers results from out here. So depressing watching the whole team drop like flies to injury, especially when the team isn't much better than average at full strength. I wish I knew what having a healthy starting QB for a full year felt like...
oh one more thing - I realize I'm massively behind in the HUSNG hand evaluations. Apologies for the delay in getting them done, but I have a 6 hour layover in Vancouver so I'll try to get most of them done during that time. ![]()
Thanks for being patient.
Welcome back to Canada! (soon). Too bad you'll probubly see none of my beautiful area except for the inside of the airport. Look forward to following this blog.
BTW, why are you moving to Calgary?
This isn't my first time in Vancouver, but unfortunately I'm stuck in the airport all day for it. I'm also much more sober than my first time in Van-city.
Moving to Calgary because I took an offer from to play with a curling team there, and I felt it was better than any opportunities I was getting in Manitoba. So hopefully working towards 2018 Olympics, although that is super difficult goal given the quality of Canadian teams. 2018 and 2022 would be my prime years if I'm ever to have a shot at making it, so I'm just trying to set myself up for the opportunity
That would be beyond epic if you could get to that level in any sport tbh. I really miss top level competition, I think that is what attracts me to poker. What are the steps that your team needs to take? Regional - Provincial - Briar year before Olympics?
Yeah there's some tough teams in curling ATM but a lot of the male teams will be well past thier prime come 18-22. Luckily your not a female as the amount of young talent is beginning to erupt.
Definately wish you all the best for this opportunity.
