Hi,
I was just wondering if it possible to share some strategies for the $3.50+R 180 Player SnG on stars. I have found these in the past pretty profitable to build are roll, but I would like to discuss different strategies with everyone else since I do not think I have perfected my strategies as much in this type of tournament.
Firstly I would like to just state my general strategy for this tournament and if someone could possibly share some other strategies that have either worked for you or are generally more profitable then I would be more then grateful.
Firstly about my general playing style. I guess I am what most of you would consider pretty nitty. I do really try to play a lot of hands in the first few blind levels. My general goal before the add-on period is just to double my stack if possible, if I get some good spots. The reason I have chosen this strategy over the time is because I found variance in this type of SnG is quite high and I don't really want to have to rebuy 10-times before we even reach the the add-on period. Generally I guess my range is probably somewhere around the top 10 starting hands.
After the rebuy period ends, I normally start getting a bit looser and start playing a lot of hands especially from later positions. About 3-4 levels into the second phase (after add-on period) the blinds normally get ridiculous so I am still trying to figure out a decent enough range to make it long-run profitable to play these tourneys.
I have noticed that once there average BBs per player at around 10 you should be just open shipping most hands, but I am wondering if there are any strategies in that regard that are better.
Towards the bubble I normally get even looser because I know most players on here just want to make the money.
I hope I haven't created a thread that alrady exists and am looking forward about hearing from everyone else in regards to how they play these tournaments.
Cheers
