Preflop: Hero is BB with 8 4

Flop: (40) 8 2 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets 40, Hero calls 40

Turn: (120) T (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets 60, Hero folds

Results:

Spoiler

120 pot
Final Board: 8 2 3 T
Hero mucked 8 4 and lost (-60 net)
SB mucked and won 120 (60 net)

In fp had top pair, weak but clear was ... the turn came a overcard, what I do in these situations in position and out of position? I say this because I want to eliminate a major leak in my game.

Thanks

i would ck/call here because he is not repping a lot of credible hands, as well as he can probably think you're weak and might fold to a second bet on the turn

I'd probably lead flop to t30 here most of the time, but I think c/calling is ok too. As played I'd c/c one more street and c/f river.

Hello,

As a default the best line will be to check/call flop and turn, and reevaluate rivers.
