Hello Folks ^^
How r ya? OK enough about you, let's talk about me ♠_cool:
Well since you asked. The swing went on and I went down. Lost the better half of my BR. 180mans ain't really my type. I think ICM has gotten very easy to learn now and since post-flop is non-existence in 180-mans therefore I couldn't use my edge over other players. But don't try this at home, 180mans are very very good to build up your BR.
So I switched to regular MTTs. Did burst couple of bubbles and then FT on a $10K Gtd. And with help of my guardian angel ended up 4th place. Story would've been a lot better if I had shipped it, I KNOW. But still felt nice. 180mans aside it was my first final table since downfall of FTP.
So the prize kinda healed up the BR. Which is really good and now Simon can stop giving me bad looks all day ♠_biggrin:
Another thing on my mind is whole PS/FTP deal. Our money was stuck in there for a year and a half. Now we're getting it back, I'm not whining. Of course I'm ecstatic about it as the next guy.
But before when it was GBT who wanted to take over or any other investors in that matter, I always thought if they don't make huge promotions I'd cash out and move to PStars. New owners cannot act if nothing has happened. I know whatever happened is not their fault. But as I've said before, if you can't take the blame don't take the name!
Now PStars is the one taking over kinda blocked that strategy. I mean I can't make peace with myself if not only they won't do anything for the customers who wants to stay loyal and still play in there, but there are even speculations about PStars changing rakeback on FTP so that would even F us up more.
I know PStars is the savior in all this, but they made a 'deal', they ain't doing charity. So I believe they should make efforts to compensate somehow the pain this company caused as the new management.
Heya
Had a fairly good week. So apparently made my staker proud and decided to move up the limits a bit. I'm gonna be playing up to $33 BIs from now on. Yay! Probably they're gonna be a lot harder but I do miss the challenge and totally ready for it (Eye of the tiger playing in the background).
The tournament I shipped I played very well. It was a $11 BI $4K gtd. I didn't get lucky, every decision I made was the correct one. Last 27 I didn't have much chips but survived and with good shoves stole pots and pushed myself to the FT.
But at the last 4 I really outplayed everyone by far. Being the shortest stack wasn't easy. Specially with 'bkmzee' on the table (he's an excellent player rank 500 on OPR). Had him on my instant left and he didn't make my life easy at all. Did quite a few 4bluffs/5bluffs on him just like pro which I'm proud of. Well I don't know if they were just like a pro but certainly looked like one ![]()
I crippled one and eliminated the other so it was HU against him at the end. My stack was more than double of his so pressure was mainly on him. But then again I kept playing good and shipped it finally.
A mate of mine was watching the game and told me just make it to the top 3 would be good enough. But last 4 I knew I was gonna ship it. Even with the scary player at the table.
Going to Antalya with the missus tomorrow night so I won't be playing for the next week. Will play tonight though. Planning to crush something tonight and not just a pillow ♠_cool:
Also this PSW® Poker Tour Cambodia 2012 sounds really tempting. Always wanted to visit Cambodia so a tournament being there with an affordable BI ($550) is really make me tickley to make this trip.
Got back from Antalya. City was nice enough, hotel was terrible. Kinda unlucky on that. Got sun burned badly. Meh! ♠_evil: But really enjoyed the sea and the old town. Highly recommended for people to visit if you enjoy, well life!
Started grinding again. Not heavily yet, kinda easing myself back into it. Rebuilding up confidence. Though I'm in some sort of a financial mess here, and my way of life has been reduced to a level that I have to pirate video games again, but I feel good. It's not about the money for me at the moment. Not looking for a cashout or spending or anything. Just eager to move up the ladder again.
With that comes confidence. Had some deep runs, seeing final tables again which is very nice, kinda missed the change of background for so long! Been playing really good until the very end. Played emotional a bit, did cost me money for sure.
Today was playing a $2.5K gtd, $33 BI. Hundred something runners, kind of a tough field specially after all those softer micros with huge player pools. Game was intense. Had some back lucks, caused misfortune upon others too. One half fish half shark kept bugging me the whole way.
Played very good against him each time but he made dumb calls and got lucky eventually. Crippled me a couple of times and got back up and finally eliminated me with KQ against preflop shove of my A8 so I ended up 7th place. Didn't like it, at all!
But a lesson learned here. for the 8 billionth time. Hope I won't forget it ever again. Don't try to beat the player, beat the game!
Thought about setting up goals. Small milestones. And write about my play more.
So first goal is to make $1k in the next 10 days. Buckle up!
I feel I'm about to hit something tonight. Hope it won't be just a hangover. Currently 12-tabling. ABI is $15. will update.
8th place on $22 6handed 500cap. Meh, only paid for my session's buy-ins +$3 ! yay!!
Game wasn't easy and I was short stacked good part of the tournament. Also lost connection for like 30 mins! Could've been a lot better if I had win the last flip.
Good thing is the whole session I didn't make any awful mistakes. Maybe none, maybe just a couple mild ones. But one thing is sure that I need to work on my short stack late game strategy.
