Known Players:
UTG3: $0.94 - 47 bb
MP1: $1.16 - 58 bb
MP2: $5.03 - 252 bb
MP3: $0.97 - 49 bb
CO: $1.97 - 99 bb
BU: $3.25 - 163 bb
SB: $8.16 - 408 bb
BB: $1.97 - 99 bb

0.01/0.02 No Limit Hold'em (8 Handed)
Hand recorder for this hand: PokerStrategy.com SideKick 1.0.50829.7

Preflop: Hero is BU with A♣, J♣
SB posts small blind ($0.01), BB posts big blind ($0.02), 3 folds, MP3 raises to $0.08, CO folds, Hero raises to $0.28, 2 folds, MP3 calls

Flop: ($0.59 - 29.50 bb) K♦, 9♦, 7♠ (2 Players)
MP3 checks, Hero bets $0.44, MP3 folds, Hero gets uncalled back ($0.44)

So basically vilain raised from MP3, and being with AJs on the button I decided to re-raise him due to assumptions that he wouldn't too much of a strong hand being in the mid position. After his call I knew that I will have a good fold equity if I bet large on the flop if he doesn't hit it, because he did that already in the past. He just calls 3bets hoping to hit the flop and folds if he doesn't. His check on the flop was the green light for me. Were my assumptions correct or did miss something?

IF you knew that he folds on cbet at 3bet pots, then you did the right thing there. You could even do that play practically w any 2 cards, if you knew that he always folds without hit.

Well played.

Hello Rihard4a,

As long you are assuming that then sure, you can do that. Though you don't need to CB that huge, most likely even something like 36cents should be enough.

Best Regards.

Well I made the 3/4 of the pot. Since I started my course, I found that it is one of the most appropriate bets to increase fold equity. Or am I wrong, or does it depend?

It's a 3bet pot so you wont really need that much to Bet, you will have similar fold equity with smaller bet.
