Oh, I didn't notice the stack sizes. I think deep it's not really a good play at all with QJo, unless your opponent 4bet bluffs a ton.

There are different extents of so called "deep" stacks. 140bb barely qualifies as deep. It does change preflop ranges a bit, just like shallower than 100bb stacks affects preflop ranges.

Saying it's not a good play unless X it's not really the best way to go about it imo. Think when it makes sense and do it then. There are infinite scenarios and any play could be the best one or +EV given certain circumstances.

By deep I mean deep for this scenario. People usually don't 2x 4bet bluff 140bb deep with total trash, just because it's so much more likely that you're not 3betting with hands that aren't playable postflop and are going to be able to call such a small 4bet given the odds and the additional IO, same goes for them being able to flat a min5bet.

If you're 3betting here with hands like A2o or Q9o or whatever, I'd consider that a pretty big leak, where it may not be vs certain villains 100bbs deep. So while 140 isn't DEEP deep, it's deep enough to make both the guy 3betting/5betting and the guy 4betting to alter they're ranges and raise sizes. Again, unless it's super opponent specific.

I used Thazar's thought process on this one: "Fuck it, I shove!" :f_biggrin:

The detailed version of it is that he's capable of betting like that with less than a flush, he can't have the nuts and my line looks exactly like a flush. Ship! If he bet normal size I probably fold though.. this sizing just tempted me with all that dead money.. yum yum!

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $1(BB) Replayer
SB ($110)
Hero ($146)
UTG ($215)
UTG+1 ($44.14)
CO ($51.21)
BTN ($367)

Dealt to Hero A♠ 7♦

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to $2, fold, Hero calls $1

FLOP ($4.50) 4♠ 7♠ K♥

Hero checks, BTN bets $3.23, Hero calls $3.23

TURN ($10.96) 4♠ 7♠ K♥ Q♠

Hero checks, BTN bets $7.70, Hero calls $7.70

RIVER ($26.36) 4♠ 7♠ K♥ Q♠ 9♥

Hero checks, BTN bets $35, Hero raises to $133 (AI), BTN folds

Hero shows A♠ 7♦

Hero wins $93.56

Hey guys,

I need help in buying a phone in the near future, like early next month, definitely before end of October.

I'm looking for a phone that is good for web browsing, has good quality camera and battery that lasts longest (apart from being able to make calls obviously).

I know all the smartphones qualify for that but what is the best price/quality offer? I would like durability as well so it seems I shouldn't buy an iPhone 4S (too fragile with all the glass cover and iPhone 5 rumours intensify, meaning 4S will prob drop in price significantly immediately after I buy it).

Main choices: Galaxy S3, S2, Note, HTC One X.

I haven't heard anyone say S3 is simply amazing and a snap buy (some battery issues), while everyone that has S2 says it's great and more than enough for an average person's use. Note is sort of big but still a good option prob and the HTC is the less popular choice but have read some very good reviews about it.

Maybe there is no wrong choice?! :f_biggrin:

Yeah, it is better, but for a normal user (which, face it, is any user of smart phones ever), S2 will do everything perfectly.

my point was that 4G is coming out now and it seems amazing. if you get a phone on contract now and is bound for 2 years and it is not 4G compatible you gonna miss out.

not rly? I mean ... for surfing the web and whatnot 3G is good enuff
and sure, 4G is gonna make a huge difference in video calls and such stuff, but 99% of ur peers aren't gonna have good enuff tech anyways for you to use those features ...

Maybe exactly in that 2 years time they will ... but right now, doesn't matter imo.

And after 2 years you're most likely gonna be buying a new and even sicker phone anyways :]

There's also one other little detail about 4G. The operator has to create that network and I doubt Romania will be early in the 4G club. :f_biggrin:

with speeds between 100Mb and 1Gb / second I think home broadband gonna look ridiculous compared to it providing they offer a good data allowance
