This is a new thing, happened today. I am running the latest version under WinXP. Whenever I try to go to reports or active session it just crashes and that's it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and no result. HUD still works, but it's pretty frustrating not being able to see any data.
I tried reverting to this: http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/7053_Hm2AutoUpdate.exe
The result is the same.
If you follow these instructions, and include the zip file in an email to
hm2support@holdemmanager.com
Then they will be aware of the problem.
They are quite good at responding.
It helps if you can include a detailed description of what you were doing at the time of the crash.

When doing anything that these articles describe, be sure to back everything up first. This cannot be stressed enough.
If HM2 -- or any program -- crashes, check the event log to see if there is an entry related to that crash. When you contact support, send them the details of that entry.

Well I uninstalled everything, purged the database, re-installed Postgree, .NET and HM2, reimported all the hands and now it works. It only took me 3 hrs 
I am experiencing a very similar problem with my HEM. Basically when I go from any tab to reports it will crash straight away and has only been a problem since opening specific tags and not closing them.
I have done the things I was told by email with no results I believe your self-fix might work for me but I do not know how to completely delete an re instal without losing hands off my database. My sample size is getting decent now and useful so losing any data would be annoying.

HM2 support also wanted me to re-install my .Net framework to resolve some crash issues.
There is a tool available that can evaluate your .Net framework.

I have used the .Net tool several times at work, but there may be peculiarities with your system, so be sure you have a good backup of everything you value.
