Greg Merson limped the button and was raised from the big blind by Jacob Balsiger. Merson called and the flop came 9h8s3c. Balsiger bet 4.5m and Merson called. The turn was the 4h, and Balsiger bet again - 7.5m this time. Merson called, and on the river 6s Balsiger took his time and bet another 13m. Merson moved all-in, Balsiger folded, and Merson showed JhQh - a pure bluff. Merson has now established a dominant position with more chips than his opponents combined.

All the chips got in quickly preflop between Jesse Sylvia and Greg Merson - Merson had KdKh and Sylvia had AhKs. The board came 3s5c2d8h4h and Sylvia rivered his miracle straight to double up and take the chip lead from Greg Merson.

Jacob Balsiger and Jesse Sylvia got all their chips in the pot preflop - 18m effective stacks. The flop came Jc4h8d, and on the turn Tc Balsiger went ahead with a pair. The river 7h didn't change that, and Balsiger doubles to over 38m.

Between several smaller hands, Jacob Balsiger's stack has decreased to just 27m - only 27 big blinds at the current levels. It seems likely that he'll double up or hit the rail fairly soon.
