Thanks Veriz for the motivation.

I just finished to read the silver articles.

Next week I will start do folow the advanced learing path. I know that I will have to read again most part of the articles, but that's good.

During this path, I only will go to the next lesson, when all the articles, principles and everything of the previous lesson are interiorized and I am able to use them on the tables, so... This path will take a long time. HEHE.

Hi Veriz,

Here are the stats from the today session, where I won a little more than 1BI, with a winrate of 9,32BB/100

And the folowing are the stats of the month of September:

Right now I am at a little less than 4Bi to reach the 30BI to move up to NL10.

I am a little afraid, since the winrate is not a big one, but at the same time I a beated the NL5, and the NL10 will force to improove even nmore my game.
What do you think?

Is that red line normal?

Sorry for delayed answer, I have been moving to new country so it did take me to set up everything at my place, now I am back and starting to evaluate the homeworks.

I am a little afraid, since the winrate is not a big one, but at the same time I a beated the NL5, and the NL10 will force to improove even nmore my game.

Don't focus on the winrate that much, with time it will improve. :) Rather focus on learning and trying to beat the game and understanding what you doing and why. For optimistic winrate you going to need anyways a lot of hands, starting from something like 100k+ at least.

About your stats I'd ask you, why are you raising more hands from SB than you doing IP on the BTN? :)

Red line is normal as long it's your style, you have to change in your style and also understand very good the game to change it.

Hi Veriz,

About that leak of the small blind, I think that is psychological. When it arrives in fold an I am at SB, I think something like this, "well, only one player left to fold, so let's try do steal the BB..."

But I am trying to fix it. At the end of the last monts, it was already less than the BU.

The last month was very good until the last week. Here I started to crash, and had 2 red sessions, one with -3.5BI and another with almost -2.5BI.

At the end, it was a 3BI profitblçe month, with a winrate of 3.7bb/100, but before the last week it was almost 10bb/100

Anyway, I show you yhe stats of the month and the graph.

I am noticing that there are a lot more players palying SH than FR, so the probability of finding fisshes is higher than in FR.

At the same time, there are a lot more stuff for studying using SH as an example than the FR.

So, sooner or later it is almost inevitable to go playing SH.

I am thinking to try it now, what you think?

I am still facing my biggese downswing ever. It took me almost 100$ so far. It is somethin around 15 buy ins, between nl5 and nl10.

But, despite this, I feel that my game improoved a lot this last two weeks. I managing now to play, not only my hand, but also the spots and the other playrers, and also starting to understand the meaning of the bet sizings.
That's very interesting, and even more when it hapends in this big downswing.

I am now understand now a lot better the gam, than a few weeks ago.

I hope that this imprrovment will help me to break this down and go back to the profits.

I am now studying the 3bet Pré-flop, and raises pos-flop.

On the 3bet pré-flop for now, I am using this:

- Premium hands - 3BET, unless we want to trap a fish on the blinds

- Medium hands - Call IP and play post-flop. If we 3bet, the villian may 4bet, and we will be forced to fold a hand with some value. But here I have a question.
What to do if we raise, for eg. KQ forme the CO, and the BU 3 bets us?
If he is a TAG reg player, the fold is the best option, also if he is a bad passive player. But if he is a LAG with high 3bet stats or a bad but agressive player?

- Weak hands - Here is fold or 3bet IP against players that call a lot pré-flop and fold everytime to CBET, to polariaze our range. If we get 4bet it is an easy fold.

The range of each type of hands depends. It can be wider or shorter, according the opponent type.
Against a bad player, hands like AK, QQ or even AJ cand be considered as premium hands.

On the flop is more dificult for me, for now.
But, we should raise by bluff against players that cbet a lot, with hands that can still improove, like overcards. And of course we should raise our hands for value.

Well, this what I am sudying right now, and this is a short briefing.
Is that correct, in what you may analyze?

Seems like no major leaks in your game. You have been improving and clearly to see from the game. :) Well done mate and I hope only for the best!

Winrate of 3,7 is pretty good, 10bb/100 is already crushing. :) Though take rather the average and also sample size is very important.

Why not? I have also few students of mine who just switched over from FR -> SH. This way you are also able to choose more rooms where you can play at. We can keep in touch on the forums and secure that your game wont hurt a lot.

Though prepare yourself that there you going to play a lot more hands which means also that it's going to be a lot tougher. A lot more decisions has to be made, a lot more postflop games. Also the variance is bigger there, may easily get into 10bi swings.

There is practically no simple and default line to pick. It always depends and will depend, against what kind of player we are, against what kind of stack, how does he view us etc. There are too many factors that I just can't say standard play, most likely easiest way would be just folding against unknown.

If he is a TAG reg player, the fold is the best option, also if he is a bad passive player. But if he is a LAG with high 3bet stats or a bad but agressive player?

I would strongly recommend posting those type of hands, try maybe even filtering them out and lets take a look together on them. That will also clear you more about your 3bet pot process and what to do and why. To start commenting on specific line it's just way too difficult cause we gonna need a lot more information being available and it's not easy to build a robot of you.

How have things been so far?

Well,

That damn downswing still here, even in SH. hehe

I am having some dificults in going to showdown with the strong made hands. And when I do it, I loose.

I really liked the game on the SH, but maybe I am not prepared for that. I am thinking in return to the FR for a while, and try the SH later.

I will crush it, but not now. :)

Maybe it is good idea to beat the NL10 FR first. HEHE.

Tks for your help, and I will be posting the 3BET pots for you to analyze and help me.

I am realy disapointed with my results.

I do not win one hand, when I play for the stack. The most incredible things are happening.

Of course, my game is not perfect, but it was profitable until one month ago. Since then I lost 1/3 of my bankroll.

I posted some hands in my blogue, is in portuguese, but if you want, you can see some hands here.
My blog

From the page 17, until the last, there are some hands of this downswing.

I gave a break last week, to take a deep breath and to think what to do.
So, I decided to go back to the FR, because is where I feel mopre confortable, and continue to climb the limits. Later I will try again the SH.

But yesterday, it was the first day after the break, and those kind of hands are still happening and I lost 2BI.

Here are 2 hands of the yesterday session.
