Results:

Spoiler

$15.90 pot ($0.79 rake)
Final Board: A 2 9 7 4
BTN showed 2 2 and won $15.11 ($7.61 net)
Hero mucked A J and lost (-$7.50 net)

standard open raise and i get called by three players. I raise a bit on the bigger side because i'm multiway. I decide to check the turn for pot control with the intention of just calling a bet. I assume i'm ahead on the river and bet for thin value against some second pairs and AT chopping w/ AJ. I don't like my river call in hindsight because i don't see him doing this with anything worse than my hand

Hello legand73,

Rather Bet the turn as well than turn it into bluff-catcher. You ain't really taking pot control with such a line being OOP.

The applies for your river play, what makes you think that he is bluffing there? Why wouldn't he just Bet the turn?

Best Regards.

Say if instead i did bet the turn would i opt for a check/fold or check/call on the river?

I don't understand what you're asking me about the river sorry. Do you mean that he is most likely bluffing, or not, in your opinion, with such a line on the river?

I think that based on his check behind he is either weak with a small ace or a 9 or considering the board is so uncoordinated, he is trying to induce with a top pair high kicker, two pair or set

He is never bluffing the river. ;) Either to Bet for value on the river or not depends how loose we see him calling down, though as not that many worse hands bluff the river anyways so we can also Check/Fold it whilst the value is pretty thin.
