[Closed] Nl1000 Ak

hi I don't play such limits, but I have watched lots of videos of pros playing NL1K+, so hopefully I have some idea of how it plays.

first you need to 3bet, this spot is great because an aggro opponent will perhaps think you may be squeezing light and repop you, and you can just jam it preflop. flatcalling isn't that great when there is already one flat caller, because your hand doesn't play that well multiway (its not even suited) and you're pricing in the blinds, so you're essentially creating a family pot with AK, which leads to huge reverse implied odds.

now as played, your check behind is good, a lot hands are check/calling that flop, and some aggro guys are just waiting for someone to cbet in position to check/raise. turn bet seems fine

again you made it from NL400 to NL1000 in 2 weeks, so that's 1 month from NL100 to NL1000 this is sick !

i have just tried a few times nl1000 its a little to fishy i could say but the adrenaline is fine

At regularity i play NL200 and NL400...

i was nl100 and sometimes nl200, but a tourney win boosted my bankroll a little...

His range is freaking tight JJ+ AK sometimes TT and AQ

Yeah I'm with cojack, i don't like 3 betting here so much. In fullring ak often has less value as it does in 6 max and getting your stack in there is less profitable, since youll see KK and AA more often. It can be very fishy at these limits but the other competent players sure arent messing around in UTG2. If he is a tight player in a tight game, JJ+ AK seems reasonable, but you may often find players only raising AA, KK and AK in ep, chucking AQ and limping 1010, JJ and QQ, which could make your entire equity vs his raising range complete crap. Of course at nl1000, or even nl 50, you should have a HUD and you would know what his range would be. Hence why I find it silly that you are asking how to play ak in these spots since supposedly youve mastered nl200 and 400. There's no difference, except for the amount of money on the table. AK is a bread and butter hand, you already know how to play it. So youre either completely full of it about being rolled for nl1000 or youve been a very lucky fish and youll lose it all soon

and seeing as i have no experience whatsoever in higher limit FR games, i will withdraw my comments :P.

so with that in mind, my opinion: at the lower limits, a call is definitely best.. but i think people merge their ranges more at the higher limits..
