river bet looks like overplay, i don't think he ever calls anything worse than two pairs.

so I guess it's a check and I'm not sure if you should c/c or c/f. There are no OESDs and I don't think he calls naked gutshots (they will always have a pair like JT). Would he really turn it into a bluff on the River? I Doubt he turns TX into a bluff (seems too strong for it)

We also have the 2 strongest clubs, and I can't imagine him having too many busted flush draws like QcJc. Why would he not bet the Flop?

I think he has many more hands like 99/89 trying to go for pot control on Flop (especially if you have established some sort of check/raise range). I think this is a Flop where he should stab a lot of his air.

Thus I am not that optimistic about calling a river bet. Though if u think he could turn 56s into a bluff then by all means u should c/c here since you beat both busted flush draws and some weaker pairs.

Can I just firstly ask why you're playing a Tough Reg HU? Surely better games selection wise? Not my business but still just a thought.

I think if we check, we check fold alot. I would go ahead and cbet, we get alot of hands such a broadways, small pocket pairs and Ax hands to fold that will USUALLY bet when we check meaning that they can just bet every flop and we fold. If we bet we get a bunch to fold and with the Tc on the board we do have some back door equity that we can consider.

Anyway, maybe your game plan means you shouldn't play the flop I recommended, but its my standard in these spots.

On the river I think he does have some worse Ax hands that he didnt bet the flop with and also some 10x that he pot controlled with, I don't think he ever has many bluffs, he probably bets flop with back door flush and straight draw. He is likely to hero fold Ax on the river so our bet is too thin.

So what should we do? I think check/folding is going to be best as he likely doesn't have any hands that he would turn into a bluff, I'm pretty sure he is checking back j10 on the river.

Hey Pleno,

Don't you think the goal of every poker player should be to try and beat all other players? There are more EV+ games for me of course, but I can't be always bumhunter IMO if I want to play high stakes.

Don't you think the goal of every poker player should be to try and beat all other players? There are more EV+ games for me of course, but I can't be always bumhunter IMO if I want to play high stakes.

Hey Mate! Well I think it's better to play with badplayers so you can boost your roll and even be able to play highstakes before having reg battles. But I see your point, But I just don't think it's worth it.

I would cbet F aswell , but i have a hard time figuring out what Turns i would barrel ?

I think flop and turn are fine, sometimes I would cbet even this flop but checking aint bad. Turn seems fine, at times we can go for a check/raise here since he rarely has a nine but will often try to rep it but ofc nothing wrong with betting.

River is just a check/fold. He is very rarely calling anything worse, and probably not folding any better either. If we bet he's not super likely to turn anything into a bluff, so check/fold should be fine.
