Alright I made it!

[x] Day 2

it was hard though, but I did it at my own speed, take rest when I need it and just push whenever I did the exercise.

that's the best way to go and what is 45 to 60 minutes a day if you will feel much better for the remaining 23 hours of that day

yeah just tell your neighbours what you are doing and tell them it will not last longer then 60 minutes.

No seriously jumping can be a problem in older house. I got concrete floors so my neighbours hear me but not to much.

Land like a cat is the key

This is the exact problem I have living in an upstairs apartment. 23days into it and no complaints yet, i must be like a ninja cat when landing :f_thumbsup:
Although I do skip the switch kicks, this would definitely make too much noise and impossible to land softly with.

Just remember to take enough breaks, as Shaun T says, you've gotta recover before carrying on _biggrin:

23 days into it, recognize rastweets starting up story? Can you confirm that the first day pains will go away?

You think you will make the full 60 days? How are your results so far?

Yeah i definitely felt the pain for the first week, not so much now. I originally got through 2 weeks but missed a week through illness so started from the beginning :f_biggrin:

Definitely seeing the benefits,

Power Jacks 62 65
Power Knees 114 117
Power Jumps 27 33
Globe Jumps 9 11
Suicide Jumps 14 16
Push-Up Jacks 24 28
Low Plank Oblique 54 60

Just after 2 fit tests. I WILL complete the 60 days, It will take longer though as I miss some days out, eg Mondays I play football after work so no point in pushing through an Insanity session too.

[ ] Do insanity day 3
[ ] Do insanity day 4
I watched sports on tv does that count?

Well I knew before I started that I wasn't going to follow it every single day, but I am going to complete it. Just going to take a bit longer.

I must say on saturday I felt bad that I didn't do it. Plus I had the feeling I never been this strong. Was really weird, but felt really buffed

Back on track, today was the cardio recovery. I don't like recovery :(

Tbh there are 2 things I don't like about insanity.

a) Recovery session

b) The stretching. Not because I don't like to stretch, but because I don't think his stretches are good for everyone. I'm a really really really stiff person, always been like that even during my best day (best cross country running of my province and 8th of Belgium). So I'm never going to be flexible. And some stuff I just can't do. So I just do my own stretching.

But for the rest I like it!

Hey guys, just wanted to say that you've inspired me to start this thing too.

I'm going to "cheat" a bit, though. I'll do one video per day for ~10 days to test them out and prepare for the real thing. I have some knee problems, so going to check if I can do all the jumps, squats etc...

I'm going through the videos now, it looks like I'm going to die

if you have knee problems i wouldn't rly encourage you to do it , i didn't knew i had any , but after like a week i realized i do. Still if you do find this thing fancy and you wanna do it , do some knee protection , lunges/wall squats , cycling might help too

Hey, thanks for the advice, much appreciated.

I've twisted my knee ligaments, well a year ago now, and had small meniscus damage. I've never done proper rehabilitation, that's why I still have small amounts of pain while, for example, playing tennis. And I hear dreadful cracking noises while doing squats (no pain there, which is good).

I'm glad to report that I've successfully done plyometric cardio circuit right now (wearing knee protection) and felt none pain. So I'm good to go. I'm dead, though, but loving it :f_biggrin:

One question, though. I'm probably not going to be able to do the training every day, due to uni, work, poker... Is it OK to just skip a day when I have other stuff to do, and just do the next one? I'm sure it wont have the exact same effect if I do, but it should still be extremely +EV to do the insanity workout that way, right?

Hey, glad you're able to do it without pain :).

I've had to skip certain days while doing this however I never skip the exercise, I just do it the next day and that moves the end date one day further away. This way you're still doing 60 sessions.

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant, obviously not skipping any exercises. Thanks.

I have everything crossed that you don't pass out and die.

I never kept up with Insanity myself, but like most it will be on my New Years Revolutions :f_biggrin:

Results from my first fit test:

1 switch kicks 74
2 power jacks 23
3 power knees 51
4 power jumps 11
5 globe jumps 3
6 suicide jumps 10
7 push-up jacks 7
8 low plank oblique 40

That was physically the hardest thing i've ever done by the time i got to power jumps i just wanted it to be over, heart beating out my chest all muscles giving up on me then he said ok last excercise and i just thought "fuck it give it everything"

I'm pretty impressed with myself tbh i feel shit and great at the same time looking forward to see how my results improve on my next test
