A casino security asked for my ID while I was in the middle of the hand even though I was there for 4 hours. I told him to hold while I finished the hand. I had $417 invested, and the other guy pushed all in for an additional $1,300.

Long story short I told the security gaurd to fuck off and I was escorted out. Is this a 1 day thing, or?

the security guard is obviously a complete fuckhead, sometimes you cant reason with those people. I think you'll be sweet if you grow a moustache or something though

did you win the hand?

Canada. I ended up losing the hand because I was essentially forced to muck, since I lost focus.

Well the security could have waited but what I would have done is:

Ask security to wait or call pit boss to ask security to wait. If this does not work deal with security guard first...Your opponent cannot call time and plus now you can make him sweat whiles waiting for you. (use the situation to your advantage)

What you did was probably the worse idea.

Now after they asked you to leave did you sign anything?. If not then you are not banned and you can return anytime. If so then that was the second stupid thing to do. If you did sign the ban then you should know how long you are banned for.

Right or wrong doesn't really enter in to the discussion.
People with power -- police, customs officers, bouncers and security guards to name a few -- will use it. They rarely have patience or humour.

Best to just stay out of their way.

If they have the weight of the law behind them, all the more reason to keep a low profile.

He was a total fucktard that had no bussiness bothering you during the hand and there really is not excuse for his behavior. He should at least wait until the hand is over before bothering you with nonsense. Getting banned for telling him to fuck off is just ridiculous, if anything you should call the manager and make a complaint about the idiot.

But you have to see it from his perspective; his some random high school dropout who has to deal with drunken gambling degens who make more in a night then he does in a year grinding his minimum wage. Now he has some minor power over someone and his abusing it because thats pretty much all his got going for him in his dead end job. Its not like you become a security guard unless your not qualified for anything else.
