Prima, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 3 Players

BB: $18.75 (37.5 bb)
BTN: $51.95 (103.9 bb)
Hero (SB): $60.10 (120.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with T T
BTN folds, Hero raises to $1.50, BB calls $1

Flop: ($3) 8 T 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $2.25, BB calls $2.25

Turn: ($7.50) 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $5, BB calls $5

River: ($17.50) J (2 players)
Hero bets $11, BB calls $10 and is all-in

Anon table.

BB played 67/39 after 35 hands, AFq 52, wtsd 43.

Is it an overplay? I thought vs such a huge fish I simply cant ch/fold on turn or river. He seems to play quite randomly, he could have 9x for sure, but I dont think he would ever fold something like 2pair...

Hi pcfmcc02,

This is an overplay on the Turn for sure. I think his Flop calling range contains many 9X hands. Once the 6 comes out, I think you have only 1 more street of value at the very most. Thus, the best option for you is to c/c the Turn and decide on the River.

I would c/c Turn and probably c/r River if i hit my boat. Given that runout, I don't really mind folding because the only thing you beat here is 6X or JX being turned into a bluff. Would he really bet 2pairs or sets for 2 streets? I don't think so. But you always have the option of c/c T and R, instead of betting yourself, which restricts his calling range largely to straights and the occasional set/2p.
