Stacks:
UTG ($11.09) 111bb
UTG+1 ($10) 100bb
CO ($10) 100bb fish
BTN ($11.28) 113bb 39/31/6,7/3,4/87
Hero (SB) ($10.94) 109bb
BB ($10.35) 104bb

Pre-Flop: ($0.15, 6 players) Hero is SB J♠ J♥
2 folds, CO raises to $0.40, BTN raises to $1.40, Hero goes all-in $10.89, 1 fold, CO folds, BTN calls $9.54

BTN 3bet 12,5. Not sure if that was right move. I didn't want to 4bet since I would commit myself, due to PFR and 3bet size. And didn't want him to just call so I shoved. Small hand sample tho.

Hi Lood,

Can we really expect villain to call our 4-bet often?

I wouldn't be too worried about that I would go for a small 4-bet like we would do with our really strong hands. The only reason I'd shove here is if I can make villain call more hands preflop.

Otherwise just 4-bet to ~$3 and call off if we think he shoves only KK+ then we can still fold (although he will most likely shove AK, QQ+ and against that we have enough equity to call).

Don't forget that a lot of our profit from 4-betting comes from when he folds preflop not from when he goes all in with us.

Hi BogdanPS,

I wouldn't expect call from normal player and this one didn't seem like one.

Wouldn't be surprised even if AQ is in his range as well.

But lets say I 4bet to $3 and he calls. Flop came A high with 2 spades. What to do in this spot? Happens quite often to me. Close eyes and shove? Give up?
