7 push-up jacks 7
8 low plank oblique 40

That was physically the hardest thing i've ever done by the time i got to power jumps i just wanted it to be over, heart beating out my chest all muscles giving up on me then he said ok last excercise and i just thought "fuck it give it everything"

I'm pretty impressed with myself tbh i feel shit and great at the same time looking forward to see how my results improve on my next test

Round 2, Jesus that felt worse than the first time . Results:

1 switch kicks 87
2 power jacks 33
3 power knees 68
4 power jumps 15
5 globe jumps 7
6 suicide jumps 10
7 push-up jacks 12
8 low plank oblique 54

So happy with the results especially with the holiday season i thought i would get super lazy and make excuses and stop doing it alltogether instead just had a couple of days off and am back on it.

Can really see the difference in my body now too my stomach still sticks out but can start to see some definition and my arms/shoulders are twice the size they were two weeks ago. Energy levels are through the roof and im generally happier all day. Gogogo bring on the next one

i recognize it all, that is why feeling you have no energy to start with insanity is such a bad excuse since you will get a ton of energy back from it.

I think you might understand now why i want to get as much people into insanity as i can, like you said you feel much happier overall so what is nicer then making somebody feeling better overall ???

I will start insanity the assylum after 5 weeks of doing nothing i realy know for sure that working out hard at least 5 times a week makes me feel a lot better. I realy felt energy draining while i did not work out.

wow you are one fit pokerplayer from the start, would like to see you fit test results after 60 days.

Form is everything do not try to rush in order to squeeze out a few extra reps if your form goes down.

^ Did few years of gym, and I'm on convict conditioning diet for 2/3 of a year. Usually I try to get at least a bit of exercise during any day and I was in need for some cardio workouts now that winter prevents me from going out. This is just the perfect thing .

Gl to your father, it doesn't matter what he does as long as he finds joy in it and passion for his life :f_biggrin:

@giraffe - my main weakness is flexibility atm and I really thing insanity will help wiht this as well, there is a fair amount of stretching involved which I particularly like (and find difficult atm)

Flexibility was/is also my weakness since am pretty tall. I got some great progress with the yoga workouts from the p90x. In the beginning you feel realy strange cause yoga is kinda weird in the first place but it realy helped me so i highly recommend getting this workout and do this on your recovery day.

Ah didn't know this topic was on the EN forum aswell, I just downloaded P90x program cuz i felt this year i really have to change my health habits.

I had tried to do the Insanity workout, but i felt quite retarded doing it while my roommates were @ home aswell, cuz bouncing up and down in the house makes alot of noise.

Just have to get over that 'social barrier' and i should feel alot fitter and healthier, cuz when i did do the insanity workout for just 2 weeks i already noticed i did.

First of all congrats to all of you that started doing Insanity and are sticking to it, that is awesome in so many ways!!!

I started doing insanity late November, made it trough first three weeks, got lazy during the holidays, but am planning to continue ASAP!

I am not doing it totally by the books, I have practices 2 or 3 times a week (folk dancing you can see it in my blog), football 2 times a week, so some days its just too much to add Insanity to all of that.

Anyways I am not going for best results, I just want to keep my body in shape, and Insanity is helping in cardio, stretch, endurance, muscles (I could keep on like this). Also this is not a sort of a diet for me, i am not on any meal plans, shakeology or any of that stuff, I don't watch what I eat nor drink, as I really enjoy good food, drinks even more!

To make a long story short (to late for that) here are my results from first two fit tests:

Fit test 1 (day 1)

Spoiler

1 switch kicks 80
2 power jacks 50
3 power knees 60
4 power jumps 25
5 globe jumps 11
6 suicide jumps 15
7 push-up jacks 20
8 low plank oblique 36

Fit test 2 (day 15)

Spoiler

1 switch kicks 100
2 power jacks 60
3 power knees 80
4 power jumps 35
5 globe jumps 10
6 suicide jumps 18
7 push-up jacks 25
8 low plank oblique 46

I need to improve globe jumps and low planks, I am happy with all the others.

Good luck to all and don't give up, it's for your own health! :f_biggrin:

Hey.

Sorry if this has been answered already but how does P90x differ from insanity?

Here are the details for insanity, and here are details for p90x.

The main difference is that for insanity you don't need any additional equipment, and for p90x you need to have some weights, a pull-up bar (not sure of the name in English), and not sure what else, and in Insanity you do all the exercises with your own weight.

Someone who's done both will give you better info, obviously.

I did them both and insanity is more cardio based p90x has more strength elements in it. Depending on your goals you must choose the most suitable program but p90x is a great workout to do after insanity.

Push-Up Jacks 24 28
Low Plank Oblique 54 60

Just after 2 fit tests. I WILL complete the 60 days, It will take longer though as I miss some days out, eg Mondays I play football after work so no point in pushing through an Insanity session too.

Just completed fit test #3.

Pleasantly surprised with the results, I was expecting the progress to be non-existent after ~2 weeks off over Christmas. (Somehow I twisted my left knee). Along with the excess food over Christmas too.

Move Fit Test 3
Power Jacks 70
Power Knees 117
Power Jumps 36
Globe Jumps 12
Suicide Jumps 16
Push-Up Jacks 31
Low Plank Oblique 66

Looking forward to starting the Max weeks, although slightly nervous too :f_eek:

What are your thoughts on working out barefoot? Is there a higher chance of injury? At home i work out on a carpet and i prefer doing it without my shoes.

In my opinion always wear shoes!

Protect your ankles, try to find light shoes for exercise, and be careful with the carpet (is it steady or slippery?).

Ok thanks, I will wear my badminton shoes from now on which are extra light and very good for most other sports too. The carpet is steady so i guess it's not a big problem.
