Villain regularly min donk bets flops and finds it difficult to fold pretty much anything, so rather than raise and scare out his air I'd rather wait to see if I hit and then get the money in, as I've said this guy hates folding.

When I hit on the turn I raise his min bet, if he calls then I'm looking to make it 1.5-2x the pot on the river when he donks into me again, I really don't think he'll fold anything. When he raises me back by that tiny amount though, I think he's full of crap, and I think that he thinks that I'm full of crap too, therefore I don't want to raise by a substantial amount to get him to fold out, so I make it min, if he calls me then I can jam the river without overbetting the pot by much. But then he clicks it back again, so I do the same, and it was just a bit of fun really. As it's clear we're going all in, I'm aware he likely has an 8, but he could also have some stupid draw/2p/set so I'm very happy getting it in here.

Playing the Storm with a FPP ticket, on break atm. Was doing well, average just under 9k and I was hitting on 12k. AA UTG, I raise 2.5x, 5k stack pushes from MP, I'm thinking this could be my one time when I actually get a deep run. Instacall and see AK, running kings on the turn and river pull me down to 7k. Far from out ofc but c'mon, how good do I have to get it in to actually hold? D:

Hope I suck out on someone in similarly ridiculous fashion later on :P

Managed to get through to the next break, 15k, average 22k, BB is going to be 1k shortly after the restart so I'll be looking at shove/fold mode fairly soon. I had gotten up to 25k but have been pretty card dead since then and been bet out of a couple of pots with marginal hands. Wish me some rungood for the next hour :P

Bubble break, just about hanging in there and about to hit the money, 17k, 35k average, blinds are now 2k/1k and about to go through me so I'll likely be pushing before the next reach me. Had to suckout to get here unfortunately, pushed 99 with 10 bb left and ran into QQ, rivered a 9. Feel bad about it :f_frown:

Break again, no idea how I'm still here, 33k behind compared to 56k average, 3k/1.5k blinds. Had another luckbox moment when I pushed 47s BvB looking to steal with only 6 bb behind me against a tight looking guy. Unfortunately he woke up with AQs, but I binked 2p to double up.

Maybe this is the one where the runbad I've had in previous tournaments gets levelled out. I'd love to run deep in this :) But I hate sucking out so much. I think in both these spots I've made a sound play given my stack size, and I've just happened to run into a better hand, so I don't feel like a donk, but still :f_eek:

It's over, pushed 88 from MP with 9bb left, SB woke up with KK and I couldn't suck out again :P Still, $44.36 ain't bad considering it only cost me FPPs to enter :)

Tomorrow will mark the start of a HU SnG blog, $7s to start, should be looking to move up to $15s soon though.

Congrats on the cash, yeah it might not be an awful lot but it's still good for the confidence ;)

$7s graph:

Spoiler

That's since the start of February, and I could have gotten in a lot more volume tbh. It's proving more profitable than cash games for me thus far.

Cashing last night certainly boosted my morale a bit as far as MTTs go, although I'm keeping them strictly as a treat rather than something I play often :P
