Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $80(BB) Replayer
SB ($1,236)
Hero ($1,496)
BTN ($268)

Dealt to Hero Q♦ 4♦

BTN raises to $200, fold, Hero raises to $680, BTN calls $60 (AI)

FLOP ($584) 5♦ J♥ J♦

TURN ($584) 5♦ J♥ J♦ Q♠

RIVER ($584) 5♦ J♥ J♦ Q♠ T♣

Spoiler

Hero shows Q♦ 4♦ (Pre 31%, Flop 40.7%, Turn 95.5%)
BTN shows T♠ T♦ (Pre 69%, Flop 59.3%, Turn 4.5%)

Villain is a strong reg. I just want opinions as to why he plays it this way.

1. Is it so that if SB shoves and BB calls he will actually fold; or
2. is it to look like a weak hand hoping the betsize fools people into folding (but why bother as BB is committed with ATC)?

In general if he use almost all in raises he should do it with his whole range. I would assume he is planning to fold if both blinds move allin. Even with hand as strong as this. His call range should be extremely tight because of 3way pot penalty.

I also like this with BB being the biggest stack. When SB shoves his range can be decently wide, but BB call range will be lot stronger. So BU will fold often into money. If stacks are otherway around so that SB is bigger then BB calling him it will end up more often in spot where BU folds to extremely small stack and won't get to money that often.

balance.

and yes he folds if there are 2 AI behind. he still does not have enough equity with TT if both of you are AI behind him.
