NL5 98s defending BB vs tight player

The villain was pretty tight. Can't find the stats now but I definitely remember having played a few hundred hands and his PFR was like total 8% or so. I thought I'd defend because my hand is very unlikely to be dominated and I could get a lot of value if I hit.

Also, his cbet flop/turn was almost 100%

Should I have raised turn? As played, I didn't bet on river because the only hands that I beat now are AQ, AK, AT, AA, KK and I don't think I'd get those to call. I also don't think I'd get any better hand to fold. Was my thinking right?

Hi.

Preflop: If his range is really strong here I would just fold. But given that you are slightly deep, and he is probably going to be a bad player postflop, then I think calling is more reasonable.

Turn: Raise here if he is a bad player. I think he is never folding QX/AA/KK here so we have a lot of value in raising. Vs a more solid player I may be more inclined to flat cos we really rep a lot of strength here as the board further coordinated and we can have so many two pairs sets and straights.

Thanks.
