Late stage of a freeroll tournament - Bluff gets called

You cant expect people to care about your image in a freeroll tournament imo.

No point running such bluffs in a freeroll. It's a freeroll, people don't care about anything really, because they didn't have to invest any money anyway.

In freerolls you really just want to get value from your strong hands, rather than running bluffs to get your chips. People will just call down with bottom pair a lot of the time anyway because it's just a freeroll.

It does make sense, and it's not my first time either, but I expected some more tight plays in a late phase of the tournament. I guess that's how it is in freerolls, even in late phases.

The board runs out v badly for a bluff anyway, without reads there is no need to 3 barrel bluff with 9 high, so many more easy chips to win!! Especially in a free roll.

Well, you can't make terrible mistakes in a freeroll, which is part of what makes them fun. You can pull stunts like this with no real risk.

OTOH, there is nothing to be gained by this type of play either.

As to whether or not opponent would consider your earlier playing style, I would strongly doubt that opponents would even notice.

If they did notice, they would likely read your considered careful action as something else.
