urgh, i dont think we can on this board. there aren't any non-2pair hands he can flat you with.

he seems to be a massive fish, wouldnt he happily call river with all Kx and maybe even Jx? to me it seems like a great spot for a bet/fold on the river.

flop - shouldn't we cbet it against such a loose passive opponent? whats the plan if we don't - ch/c flop, ch/f turn? seems a bit weak imo..

J9xds isnt a great flop to cbet against a fish when you miss, especially when you have no backdoor diamonds.

I guess you can block-bet 200 and fold, I think its quite thin but not bad.

ok, i understand, at least im trying :)
is it because we have some kind of SD value (meaning that you would happily cbet 76o in this spot, assuming that somehow you would get to this spot with that hand, but thats irrelevant atm)?
Cause i think that against such a loose opponent the argument that this flop probably hits him hard so we should be more inclined to give up is not really valid.
And last - whats our plan if we check the flop to him? are we really ch/folding all streets? Or maybe youre willing to hand him the initiative by ch/calling once or sth? but if thats the case wouldnt it be much better to bet/fold ourselves?

sorry if my questions seem basic, i guess i still struggle a bit with some basic concepts :)

my thinking is that on J9x a fish is going to continue with any pair any draw. so any broadway combination and any 7x+ . so if he has a card 7 or higher in his hand he is going to call your cbet. that is a lot of hands.

yes some of those hands you will be ahead if you cbet AK or Q high but what is your plan for the turn river? are you going to continue to bet Q high vs a fish ? that is suicidal. so your cbet just juices the pot for him when he decides to bluff or bet bottom pair and you have no idea if you can call or not.

dry boards are much easier to bet because it will work more often.

yes. with AK high we have some SD value so i would check every street.

if I had Q high I might decide to bet the turn small as a bluff because after he checks back flop we can give him a weaker range that would fold to a turn bet more often. That would depend on the fish, if he is some 50/20 VPIP whale I would just c/f everything that isnt a pair.
