Did the same calculations and with 20 tables you get ~26 games per hour. But i understand your point and i think very similar way about 9mans and whole stuff.

If you mix kos+normal turbos and you never drop bellow 20, i mean you dont fall to 16 and wait another 4 to load then it is 29. If you already consider this then your choice is really easy

maybe u're right, i try to keep 13-15 tables running and get ~17-20 per hour. And choice is not that easy ;) even i have 6 months savings.

Congrats on SN herek. :)

One thing I will say about going fulltime is that it can be a very lonely existence. You have to force yourself to get up and grind each day and after many months it can be really hard to keep motivated. Also every party you go to, every time you go out with friends, gf, family etc, it costs you money cause you arent at home grinding. Most people who dont play poker simply do not understand what you do and they assume you are sitting about all day gambling / not doing any work.

So you need to plan ahead for everything and if you know you will be going out with the gf one night then make sure you get up earlier and put in the hours in the daytime to make up for missing the evening. Its SO easy to fall behind schedule.

However, since you hate your job anyway then you should definitely give it a go IMO. Have you thought about trying a home course for something or maybe training for a profession of some kind? You are obviously an intelligent guy so it would work well if you could do this whilst also grinding poker.

The beauty of doing this full time is obviously the fact that the more you put in, the more you get out, and of course being your own 'boss' means you can choose your own hours/free time.

Also no doubt you already have this but make SURE you ALWAYS have backup internet available, and have a laptop in case of powercut etc, or at least make someone who lives close by install pokerstars on their PC so if you do get a powercut/internet disconnection you can run to their house and finish off your session. Just one big disconnection each year will pay for itself this way obv.

Back in the halcyon days of 2005 I used to play nosebleed HU stts and one power cut alone cost me about $5k. TILT!!!

Move to 6max

Oh and btw, EV on HEM1 doesn't work for hypers. You'd get totally different results on HEM2 or PT4, which both show about the same and are closer to true EV I think

Yeh. I made an experiment with my games for this year. Latest HEM1, HEM2 and PT4. HEM1 was way off.

But I agree, you shouldn't really care about EV in hypers. Don't even know what a good sample for those games should be
