Hey Pantasrb,

While this would be profitable if you were up against the BTN, it's likely to be a slightly losing play against MP.

Possibly your best option is to flat preflop here with AK. 3betting is ok, but you should likely fold to 4bet vs MP because he is often very strong.

Hey dienaszaglis,

We are speaking very generally here of course, seeing as it will be villain dependent. But yeah, stack vs CO and BTN, be very cautious vs MP and UTG.

Holding AKs makes little difference and will boost your equity only by a few percent.

Especially in the case of a guy who has a very high ft3bet stat but loose opens I think it's fine as an exploitative play to flat AK from the blinds some of the time. In advanced games it also means your cold-call from blinds range is not capped.
