Ok, maybe it was fun at the beginning, but it's not fun anymore. Just look at my graph this month:

So sick.. The weirdest thing is I don't have a feeling that I'm playng that bad. Always trying to do my best, being calm, avoiding to tilt, making decisions that I think are right.. But just seems that I can't get any value with good hands, can't hit any flop, they always hit sets, they always suck out of me on the river etc.

So, my bankroll stands at $718,69 ATM. Can't believe I had around 850 two weeks ago.. I've said once I will drop down to NL5 if I would have less than $700, but currently I'm thinking of lower that line to $600. I mean, I'm reading articles, posting hands, watching videos, analysing hands on my own, watching coachings.. and I feel like my understanding of the game is really improving.

But when it comes to playing, can't win a single session atm.. I really hope that the effort will start to pay out soon, what's the point otherwise?

Oooh sorry to see all those hands. But if you keep with your hard work you will manage to turn things around. When you loose KK vs 44 all in preflop you cannot do much. This is poker and this is why fishes play.

I noticed that you hired a coach. How that's going? What do you think, how fast that investment could return? I ask you that because I was thinking of the same thing, but not sure if NL10 is appropriate limit for that (after reading some advices here). I was hoping for climbing a limit or two and then hireing a coach..

Check out this article. My guess is that you are learning too much and overcomplicate your game. Been there, done that After I simplified my routine and started focusing on revision and plugging leaks I feel like I'm crushing the games!

The video is somewhat on the same notes. The first 10 or so minutes intro will probably be the most valuable to you on explaining how learning too much affect your game.

I checked out your log and can see that you watch a lot of videos and read a lot of articles. It takes me about 5 hours to learn a 1 hour video (watch, make notes, summarize, apply to practice - make changes to my game). I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, that you just watch the video and count this as studying. I urge you to reread the above mentioned article, watch the video and make a summary here of what you've learned.

I appreciate your hard work and I believe you can make it if you don't give up. Please, try revising what you already know (making notes/summaries) and learn (memorize) instead of just cramming information into your head. When you are sure that you've learnt something, we could have a small talk over skype where you tell me what you've learned ( ) and then we can discuss it.

Hey again.

Yeah i hired a coach and this was by far the best decision so far in poker. I learnt so much. I had a basic knowledge before but wanted to be better and to understand the game in such a depth so i can enjoy it. Now even if i loose the hand if i know i played it right i am satisfied.

Coach opened my eyes regarding poker. We discussed some math backgrounds and it is really great to understand those things.

I already played poker before but at some time i gave up with few k$ of profit and cashout. So i invested this money from my poker winnings to take my poker on higher level. I had till now 9 coachings in two months and made a profit exactly the same as it was an investment so 350$ without bonuses, just pure winnings. I played 50k hands in that time.

So my experience with coaching is far better than i expected and i am really proud on myself that i decided for that step. I am now confident in my play and i am sure i have an understanding of the game far better than an average NL10 player. If i reach NL50 i think i will get 10 hours of coaching again.

Another thing to say is that i made this all from PokerStrategy starting capital and i have never deposited "my" money. Also all my coachings are paid from money i earned on poker. I doubt i would pay this from my bank account.

So all this in short: Coaching will put your game on higher level but still you are the guy who does every decision on the table. You have big enaugh bankrol for NL10....around 750$ now and if you invest 350 in coachings you will still have 400$ which is more than enough for confident NL10 play. For me coachings were the best decision i made so far regarding poker.

If you want a sweat lmk. I'm playing nl25 on ftp so I can try offer some insight into your game and I'm thinking of moving to ipoker soon so I'd be interested to see how it plays.

I agree with Alan883 that a coaching session is a solid investment. It'll help plug a few immediate leaks and give you an idea whether your on the right track with your game and how to move forward. Plus for nl10 your br is quite large so maybe booking something like w34z3l's leakfinder could be an idea. I've never been coached by him by seems like very good value for money. Especially considering all the positive reviews he has.

w34z3l is also my coach. He is just an excellent coach with such a great approach to the game.

Yeah, I read an article you posted, but somehow missed the video. So, I watched it today. About your assumtions, you are right in most of them. When I read an article or watch a video, I do think a lot about information I get, reread one article 3 or 4 times, rewatch videos (some of them I've watched 6-7 times), but I don't make any notes about what I've learned. Maybe I should do that! Thank you!
