Fold Cbet to raise seems important here. I don't like making such thin raises unless I have reads that villain is either playing back wide or is not folding too much to raises.

I think the Turn is def a check for me. Question is whether to c/c or c/f. You have Q:h which blocks draw combos from villain's range. I think c/f is fine especially if you do have stronger hands in your range here. You can c/c with your sets. Then again this is a shallow table which should mean that you should be betting thinner for value on the Turn so maybe you can shove sets there even

Not sure how much this guy folded to flopraises, don't think I had a sufficient sample to come up with an answer to that. But at least in my experience very few regs will fold any pair or any kind of draw in this spot in general so the raise should probably be fine most of the time.

Would, say, Q8 on 852dd be a better candidate for raising? (less possible 2pairs/no straight possible/"higher" tp)

yes 852ss is slightly better but i don't think the board is all that different. bu shouldn't have too many combos of 45 besides 4 combos of 45s.

K7 and A7 could be a shove but probably not. you need villain to defend with so many worse pairs and I think he usually just folds those while calling with 2pairs and better.

This is interesting because I'm not entirely sure how I feel about defending. He has to open quite a bit, I'm also not a big fan of the x/r and I prob x/f as played. But I could be convinced I'm wrong here.

I didn't notice this was a shallow table when I made my reply. Are you guys also aware of that?

Let's say we are 100bb, would my play be better then? I can see that people call a bit tighter with these stacksizes since they will easily get commited and they probably expect me to raise lighter for value.

But keep this in mind; this guy is opening 82% OTB, probably more when there are two TAGs in the blinds (as in this hand) so his range is really wide when we get to the flop.

Are you ever folding a worse 7x here? How about 6x? And I am pretty sure he is never folding hands like pair+gutters, overs+gutter/bdfd etc so we should do pretty good against a calling range, and on top of that I think that many regs attack these boards a lot by check/raising so for that reason he might call even lighter, if that's also his assumption. But yeah, it is still probably a bit thin, but with K7/A7 I think it gets closer and raise is probably OK.

As for defending Q7o I think it is pretty standard, although not too close from the bottom of my defending range, and with only ~50bb effective it might even be a fold. (not rly aware of how much tighter we should defend with these stacks tbh. feel free to enlighten me )

Are we talking abt pf now? I think its a super ez call esp vs a 80% range.
