Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: Do we know how much he cold calls on the BTN? A short stack that's usually aggro preflop doesn't have a larger calling range. And given you have 1500 hands you can see this number in HM

As played why not let him turn those hands into bluffs? It's very likely that we have the best hand as I doubt he calls AQ+ preflop and may not even call AJ.

So you're right, he probably can't have big AX hands. But in this flop he calls 3way on a dry flop so he can't call with a lot of weak hands here. That's why I afraid of check and calldown 2 streets.

But what's the point of the bet then? You said it yourself, it's hard to valuebet and better hands don't fold.

Since he can't have that many strong hands I think it's easier for us to call him down and let him bluff (since our assumption is that he is aggro based on the info we have and we would be playing our hand "weakly")
