Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A♦ Q♣

fold, MP raises to 3 BB, Hero calls 3 BB, fold, fold, fold

Flop: (7.5 BB, 2 players) 7♦ A♥ 6♦
MP bets 5 BB, Hero calls 5 BB

Turn: (17.5 BB, 2 players) 3♥
MP bets 11 BB, Hero calls 11 BB

River: (39.5 BB, 2 players) J♠
MP bets 25 BB, Hero calls 25 BB

MP shows 9♥ K♥ (High Card, Ace) (Pre 41%, Flop 9%, Turn 20%)
Hero shows A♦ Q♣ (One Pair, Aces) (Pre 59%, Flop 91%, Turn 80%)
Hero wins 85.48 BB

I dont see often 3 barrels as bluff in NL50 zoom, so I am not sure about river call. I call because all draws missed. Call if flop was dry?

Hey M,

Your opponent is not representing a very wide range of made hands and, like you also said, all draws in his range busted. Calling is fine but AQ is probably the bottom of my calling range.

Do you have anything else in your calling range when you say it is buttom? I fold weaker than AQ, but stronger I raise (2 pair+). So if I have only AQ that could call river, than his bet on river is great. So what else could I call down?

I would not raise most 2pair and I wouldn't raise any set here. That's why it's not the bottom of my range. I don't raise Axx too often, it makes more sense to float it wide than raise since whatever hand your opponent has can be bluffed off later.

OK, I understand your point of not raising on Axx, but you wouldnt raise on turn on draw heavy board?
And than on river blank, why not raise, he can call AK, AJ?

Sets I would probably raise on river, 2pair is not a raise, esp if it's top and bottom.. I don't expect one pair hands to call. The only alternative is very aggro dynamics and raising more on Axx, then including some 2pair and sets. By not raise in my answer I meant not raise on the flop so I reach river with them the same way you did AQ.
