oh dear.

hand 1 is fold preflop, especially vs someone who seems passive (low samplesize though)

hand 2 - why the f*** did you 4-bet shove AJo? instead of a regular 4bet or fold? You have 16 hands on him, he has 3bet of 20, that means he did 3bet one or 2 guys before. again, samplesize. I am not ecstatic about his 4x sizing as well.

hand 3 is a fold preflop, low pocket pairs play terribly postflop. I might call against a nit there with that low sizing, if 120+bb deep, for setmining

hand 2 from previous post - cold 4bet with a larger sizing

So it was very stupid of me thinking I could make a fresh start in July, when I knew that is the busiest time of year for me off poker!

Only a couple of sessions, as shown in previous posts, enough to prove I am not able to multitask poker and real life without a proper mindset.

Graph for July:

Spoiler

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Mostly drunk sessions of NL25 ZOOM

And after that, for some reason, I decided to play just and only NL10 4 regular speed tables for the whole August!!!

Results:

Spoiler

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

And continued with the same routine in September:

Spoiler

Actually the last hill in September was NL10ZOOM, but just two sessions (good one followed by a terrible one OFC)

I was really affected by xflixx and his "Building it UP" challenge. As I will remain bronze on PS indefinitely, it was awesome to have someone post this type of blog on YouTube.

So I will stick to regular tables, trying to avoid ZOOM, if possible (as they say, more hands, more action, more troubles for me)

As for my game improvement, I'm trying to maintain my WTSD <30, playing my standard 18/13, reducing playing from UTG, and OOP in general, but playing wider CO and BTN. REducing my cBet as well, learning to use the check button!

As for the blog, will try to keep it as it was on the beginning, two posts per week, graphs and hands (will try to post hands that really could help me learn, and not whining about bad beats and coolers), and some off poker stuff- real life and sports updates...

The last day I posted here was an all poker day for me, played the most hands in a single day ever, which is not that much, but it means to me that I can play longer and keep my calm and concentration, and all of that on a shitty old dining table chair (ordered an office chair, supposed to arrive Thursday _biggrin: )

As for results it's a green month starter again :f_biggrin: !!!

Spoiler

Not that many hands that I could post, but I can say I am nowhere close to improve my WTSD%, still calling like crazy all the way to showdown....

Anyhow, a couple more weeks of work stuff, and then it will be a grinding fest till spring (hopefully :f_cool: )

Off poker.....

I had so much work in a past month or so, besides that, and poker, there were a lots of parties, birthdays, weddings... Sometimes I just need days off from days off... Really looking forward to winter times, hopefully I will have more time for everything, including poker :f_biggrin:

Sports wise, Novak Djokovic lost his No1 place on APT rankings, but showed Nadal yesterday who is the boss still...

Got my season ticket for Red Star football matches, trying not to miss a single game, but those fellows just keep disappointing me, and humiliating themselves on the pitch...
However we are still there, hoping for better times....

Basketball season just started with a single point defeat, but all in all, we have a very promising team, and for the first time playing Euroleague, so there should be some interesting games to follow...

That's it from me,

Have to say that I am running pretty good this month, actually haven't had a losing day in October yet. (Hope I don't jinx it now _o: )

Was getting excited, since for couple of times I managed to play 3 zoom tables for a couple of hours and maintaining good focus for the entire time of the session.

Today again played 3 zoom tables and one MTT, and played great for 1000 hands, ws about 3BIs up, but than had two weird plays:

Should have given up earlier in the hand, but this was right after the hand No 1., so probably tilt calling... Finished session after those two hands, BE so not a big deal, but I could have evaded those mistakes...

and again one hand where I could probably play differently to extract more cash from the opponent...

Played my usual game, couple of hours regular tables or 1hr zoom per day, due to time limitations, all until yesterday... ?(

Yesterday was at my parents house for Sunday lunch, when got back home decided to watch basketball on live stream, and open couple zoom tables, and still had one quarter of the monitor free, so decided to register to a MTT (bunch of unused FPPs, perfect solution)...
Registered to The Biggest 22$... Ran really hot in the beginning, but it got difficult to combine zoom and MTT, whilst watching the game that was edgy all the way to the final buzzer...
Liked the MTT so registered to The Hotter 11$, The Biggest 11$ and the Sunday Storm, the game was finished, but there was always place for at least one zoom table...

Got ITM @ The Hotter for ~30$, dropped from the others, couple of them really annoying:

So with 9BIs @ one table thats the deepest I ever was @ NL10, how the hell was I able to run so bad on othe tables :f_confused:

Waiting for more than a week now for a cashout from stars, and still undecided if I should transfer money to PKR or Uni, to finally start earning some PS points, anyhow remaining funds @ Stars still good even for NL25, but I will stick to NL10, probably till New Year, of course with some drunk sessions @ NL25 zoom :f_cool:

Interesting things to write about before the weekend grind...

First of all I deposited money on PKR today, and boy was I surprised!!!

How the hell can one be focused to play with so much 3D graphics, and multitabling is even harder.... Bright side, I don't see many regs, mostly recreational players, but the traffic is bad early in the day.....

Reason why I transferred part of my roll from stars is to get my account tracked and go for gold status here on PS, for study materials, live coachings etc.

Currently having some dispute with PS support, denying me that free 10$ (free money is free money :f_cool: ), but I am sure it will get sorted out...

Don't know if anyone follows PokerSchoolOnline by PStars, but I will most definitely be eligible to play their Premier League next month, hoping to get some serious free money from those freerolls... _cool:

Back to everyday grind...

Yesterday while playing one of those Premier League Qualifiers, I opened some NL10 deep stack tables, and got crushed couple of hands with set over set, and flush over flush, played little bit on tilt after that, but had to maintain focus, as I was reaching final table on the qualifier!!!
When reached the final table i was about 90$ down on deep stack tables, so decided to close them, and open one NL25 Zoom (entered Drunk Mode  ), cause I knew that by reaching final table, I will collect enough points to be safe on Leaderboard until the end of month and enter premier league on November, so decided to give myself a treat :f_biggrin:

Thank you poker Gods for this one:

Also yesterday the new chair arrived, so now its very comfy to grind and blog and surf (hell I'm gonna sleep on this chair as well....) Just kidding, but it is a big difference from the diner table chair I used for the last couple of months.....

Off topic: I see that the number of views of my blog is rising, but it would be nice to get some comment on any topic, what should I do to make this blog more interesting :f_confused: ?

Changes are always tough, but sooner I get used to new things better for me!!!

For example I got used to my new chair instantly, really enjoy spending time in front of my monitor much more...

End for PKR...

Still not used to... Played a couple of sessions, at first didnt even know what camera view to use, every table and environment are different and the HM2 just confuses as much as I do...
Finally decided to use my seat view, and am getting adapted...
NL10 doesnt have that much traffic, could only 4 table during morning hours, but even those 4 tables were hard for me to follow...
The opponents are much softer than on Stars, but I need to make a lot of changes to adapt to that kind of play (limps, min raises, min 3bets, random bets, donking)...
Hope for some better EV run to avoid hands like this:

Expecting gold status here, so another change to adapt to... Already happy about potential free money for status upgrade next month, and with playing Premier League on Stars, with regular cash tables @ the same time, and grinding for status upgrade on PKR (and clearing FDB), November should be a lot of fun poker wise...

And besides poker, will have first anniversary with Mrs., as well as both of our birthdays, many interesting sports games to watch live, and as little job to do as I haven't had for months, keeping fingers crossed for nice month of November :f_biggrin:

GL @ the tables everyone :f_biggrin:

So October wrap up...

Played decent amount of hands on Stars, NL10 both regular and Zoom, some NL25 hands, mostly drunk sessions  ... All in all can be very happy with results:

As previously said, I transferred some money on PKR to clear FDB and get upgraded status here on PS... What I can say about the platform is that most of people there are recreational players, and the reason is the 3D platform, really annoying, and very hard to multitable, to make things even worse opponents always hit their two or four outer on the river, so I can just hope to avoid tilt and extract money from them when they don't hit that 5% chance :f_cool:

Adapt,adapt,adapt... :f_confused:

November

Thank you for kicking me in the nuts, sweet month of November :f_cry:

He left the table after 3 hours, with 80$+, not just my money, he was hitting against all others (bot ?( rigged ?( )... Nahhh it's just me whining as usual...

I'm still determined to crush PKR cause the maniacs cant always win, hope FDB and RB improve my BR, cause soon I'll be under rolled for NL10 on PKR (or maybe I shouldnt look @ my BR separately :f_confused: ), cause my combined BR is good for NL25...

Anyway, my bad is that I played yesterday after basketball team lost to the greek Panathinaikos in EuroLeague, in the overtime, so my mindset was a fuck probably, and I got the punishment I deserved... :rage:

Better luck to all of you @ the tables, cause we still hope for an amazing month of November

Well it has been a while, I managed to grind every day this month, but just didn't find time to update the blog...

So graphs for starters:

Stars:

PKR:

I'm still getting crushed with 70%+ EV AI situations, but more important I still go to showdown with mediocre hands, as presented with blue lines on the graphs... :f_eek:

Have to learn to give up hands, especially AA & KK on heavy boards...
aces don't mean nuts

PKR is still pretty funny, there are maybe 3% of players that would call a regular 3bet, so if you have good cards pre, you can just min 3bet, and expect to have at least 2 opponents on the flop... Just hope for good flop, cause later they call barrels with bottom pairs, funny people :f_biggrin: , and most important things of all NEVER BLUFF A FISH

Actually I am still very happy with poker, that downswing at the beginning of the month was me trying to mix stars and PKR, because it is boring to play 4 tables of PKR, I add 2 tables of Zoom, and make irrational decisions on zoom provoked by tilt on PKR, so decided to just play those 4 tables (explained here why I don't open more than 4), and play 4-6 regular tables on stars while playing Premier League...

As for the Premier League, cashed in 1/3 tournaments so far, bad thing is that I had to leave that tour that I cashed in, cause it was time to go out in a club, so just sat out and saw results the next morning :f_cool: ...

Lets get those graphs back into green$$$ :f_biggrin:

I really thought that I climbed above those moments where I lose stack over stack due to tilt, but the past few days have proven me so wrong... :f_cry:

Stars:

Spoiler

PKR:

Spoiler

What I tried is to raise my VPIP/PFR stats, while playing aggro (raising my 3bet, cBet as well).
Bad choice to do when you are card dead, as I was, and besides that got crushed on the river numerous times. That made me so angry, and on tilt, not because I lost some hands, but because I wanted to change my game, without proper education, and just looked stupid @ the tables :f_mad:

Good thing is that I unlocked a FDB @PKR for ~50$, and already raked there 250$ (~80$RB);
and @Stars coming close to a 50$ Stellar, and having some FPPs to spend...

Conclusion, I don't have the knowledge to play more aggro than 17/14 so I will remain tight for now...

A usual whining hand:

Heading out to go to the market and by some proper mindset for playing poker (what section of the market should that be?)

Pinching myself back to reality, and preparing some late breakfast for Mrs. and me ;)

As mentioned many times, when November comes, I should have more time for poker and other stuff, since my work is mostly seasonal March-October, but the start of November really left me thinking: If I spend more time grinding, and continue like this, I will just go broke in couple of months...

So what should more time actually mean is that I should spend that free time studying and improving, and not raising the amount of hands per day, cause that's just stupid...

Watched Schnitzelfisch's "Maximize Your Productivity: Building Momentum", realized it's the thing I was thinking about so many times in my life, and it's basically a proper way to start a day with some routine after which You fell good and ready for every task ahead, so perfect time to actually try and implement those small things into everyday life :f_cool:

Off poker:

So season is getting pretty much over, still having some busy days, but actually already spending most of the day like I'm on vacation...

We had one very serious show, it was organized by ITF, and it was a honorary dinner for Davis Cup finalists... Unfortunately Czechs won the finals, but at least Mrs. and me had a chance to take picture with the great trophy:

Spoiler

Sports wise, after beating our city rivals in football, we continued the same way in water polo and last night in basketball as well:

So at least off poker November is turning out to be very nice for now :f_cool:
