Last two days I did completely nothing productive, feel a bit bad for that. Well, I've played Diablo 3 with a friend of mine over skype, (lvl 60 Barb on act 3 inferno - getting my ass kicked reeeeaaalllyyyy bad:/)

I love this guy, his posts and way he writes really gets to me. Specially the fact he speaks about quitting school/jobs and all pros/cons of such a decision.
Also the whole process he describes it's just perfect.
As you know I've lost my bankroll due to FTP mess. Before that I was seriously thinking about not going to a University for a year (at least) and investing my time in poker and if I do well enough play full time and just make it may Plan A, but the problem is it would be mine only plan.
Because of this I am really happy that I've lost that bankroll. I wasn't ready and I still am far away from the point of getting ready to make such an important, life changing decision.
And going to Wrocław for a year, studying there, living on my own and meeting all amazing people - I would have missed that all if I decided to don't start it yet.
For the last 2 months I am in Gdańsk - my town of birth and my one and only goal and "project", the only thing on my mind was to get better at poker. But I wasn't able to play as much as I think I should.
I was choosing between apples (happiness) and apples (happiness). And that goal I have achieved. I've spend some time with my friends, probably less than I should have. But I've also learned sooo much.
I've made around 120k hands from the beginning of June, I was making the same amount of hands while studying. The only difference is I am studying the game not finance.
That made me think - would I spend so little time playing if I decide to stay in Gdańsk?
Maybe those 60k hands per month is just the amount I am most content playing. But it is only 60 hours on zoom. During school year (well before zoom) I've build my bankroll on PokerHeaven. I have runned ridiculously bad- my winrate was -0,5bb and ev winrate was about 5 bb/100 after 250k hands.
Even thou I felt so bed every time I've played I did manage to make those 40-70k hands each month.
I should really start to exercise, I did go to gym 4 time a week in May and my concentration levels and playing ability went through the roof and I've created a habbit of playing only when highly concentrated.
Wow I went a bit to far and this post stops to make any sense. Look at it as Pensieve (Harry Potter fan) of mine - I am just pouring all thoughts that rumble around my head and try to organize them.
To sum it up - I am really happy I went to university, not only in terms of future job (plan b) but in terms of people I've met, life lessons I've got and great times. Poker wise this year also wasn't wasted - I've met some poker playing friends, also learned a lot. My studies are
also quite easy so I still manage to have a lot time for poker.

I read Galfond's post yesterday as well, and it was amazing and awesome and I loved it, but wow, you REALLY seem to have taken it to heart!
I'm happy for you with all you are able to take away from it, and all the things being put into perspective for you after reading his post, it seems really amazing!
About good exercise, yeah, it's really rather important, and helps a lot with your focus levels.

okay hands posted, now some mindgames for concentration check and I think first session since saturday.
I've taken some time off from poker coz of a movie that was being shot at my flat. Words of advice never let a film crew in your place;)
I was left with a lot of mess, pissed off neighbors and obv no time for playing. But to be fair I was curious and wanted to see whole production process. They've also paid me quite handsomly so it was +EV.
This month I've played around 17k hands allready (last 3 days). I am not really content with the way I've played. I am currently BE taking RB into account.
I must post hands tommorow.

Where it all started - Rounders.
In the first post I've told about mtg and my early stages of playing. I've just finished watching Rounders (for a XXX'th time) with a friend of mine. She has never seen it - felt like a duty to show it to her;)
I don't know how about you but for me this movie was kinda life changing. It might seem cheesy, the first time I've seen it I was around 12 years old. Back then I was still playing mtg and poker after big tournaments on conventions.
But this movie, well it did the trick. I was hooked right after watching it and poker stayed in the back of my mind ever since.
Now after watching again, 8 years later I still get a cold shiver down my spine when Mike McDermott reads judges hands, or when he realizes he is beaten againt KGB. Screenwriter did a great job in that scene especially, the whole train ridding throu your guts metaphore - it is so damn accurate.
Rounders was made in 1998, it thought me that poker is a game of skill. I think we should be really greatfull for it, for placing poker in a map of mainstream media. It was a great foundation for Moneymaker effect and poker as we know it.
Kudos to Norton - best actor ever (imo;d).

u stack 8 tables? I don't think that's a good idea. You'll often time out and it's not that much superior to 4-tabling.
Did that before myself - Didn't really see the point. A lot of the extra volume you get is when you FastFold before it's your turn and not just when the action comes to you and you click fold.
