No Limit Holdem Tournament

Hand Conversion Powered by weaktight.com
$1.44+$0.06

Stacks:
SB (540) 18bb
Laerto (BB) (460) 15bb

Blinds: 15/30

Pre-Flop: (45, 2 players) Laerto is BB Q♠ 5♠
SB raises to 60, Laerto calls 30

Flop: A♠ J♦ 3♠ (120, 2 players)
Laerto checks, SB bets 60, Laerto raises to 180, SB folds

Does it make sense raise with FD?

Well it's ok to check-raise here imo though I would size it bit smaller to have more fe on turn shove. Hand always has decent equity and some villains might shove even weaker hands. That is possible scenario versus someone capable of hand reading as with 15bb your flat range might not have much of Ax and you would likely check-call Jx so that raise might look bluffy. Though with that sizing it also looks committing.

PS: HU is not my main game.

I think the play is fine and I agree it is better to raise smaller. I think most pairs will commit in this spot anyway since he should know that we probably don't have Ax. And raising smaller can induce some bluffs from villian and we have Q high which is usually very good. By the way, against loose players, you can shove preflop.
