SB: $10.35 - VPIP: 27, PFR: 21, 3B: 5, AF: 2,4, Hands: 554 villain steal 58 from sb cbet flop 68 turn 80

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BB with T  J
4 folds, SB raises to $0.30, Hero calls $0.20

Flop: ($0.60) 5  J :spade: 3 :diamond: (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($0.60) 4 :diamond: (2 players)
SB bets $0.60, Hero calls $0.60

River: ($1.80) 7 :club: (2 players)
SB bets $0.90, Hero calls $0.90

Would you bet flop? I was not sure if he cbets hands like QJ so i decided to check back and let him try to bluff. Do you think that he is ever bluffing on river since its a good runut for my pps that i might have in a range after my check back.

Thanks

Hey Confidant91,

I think TJ on flop is borderline.

Generally checking back will be fine since we should expect SB to be c/f a lot. Whether we should bet depends on how vulnerable our hand is, and TJ is semi-vulnerable here. Normally I would just bet.

After you check back your plan should be to call turn + river and would do so in this case. Opponent checks a lot of his showdown hands on the river so often he will either have a 6x or a total bluff.
