Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is BB with 8  8 :spade:
2 folds, CO raises to $0.50, 1 fold, SB calls $0.40, Hero calls $0.25

Flop: ($1.50) 6 :spade: K  4 :diamond: (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, CO bets $0.50, SB folds, Hero calls $0.50

Turn: ($2.50) A :diamond: (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks

River: ($2.50) Q :club: (2 players)
Hero bets $3.75, CO folds

cbet/86

Preflop: playing for set value.

Postflop: I thought this is good spot for turning my hand into a bluff. This bet size is wrong. With this bet I wanted him to fold Kx, Qx hands. I don't think he has ever ace cos he checked the turn (it doesn't make sense for him to check Ax hands for pot control).

Hi dalmar

PREFLOP
Looks fine.

FLOP
I would donk this hand as I wouldn't expect villain to bluff/semi-bluff enough on this dry flop to make bluffcatching profitable.

RIVER
I think with an overbet you can fold Qx/Kx but i think there are worse hands you can take this line with (hands which have no showdown value whatsoever - like Jx/Tx type of hands). It's an unorthodox line so I can't say if it's profitable. However, I know bad players like to overthink stuff and call so I wouldn't be surprised if it's not very profitable to do this :f_grin:

Hi dalmar469,

Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: I would say we should just look at either betting flop or giving up. What's your plan OOP with second pair?

As played the river bet to take down the pot is fine although often enough he folds a worse hand.
