Still I'm only $15/16 from getting $60 and a shot at playing the 10cent tables.
If my winnings continue for a couple of weeks or less I should be there.

I'm realizing that I have a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOT to learn.
But still can't let that distract me from working on one area at a time.

Sticking points right now is memorizing standard charts,
a tendency to donk bet out of turn,
an overvaluation of Ace high and top pairs,
an inability to loosen up my play when needed. (playing tooo tight)

it is real simple really.
It is concrete areas of study.

- Memorize last 4 charts.

- Post-flop play sharpen.

- Integrate implied odds into play seemlessly.

- Learn to identify 8 playertype during play.

- Learn to play two tables.

- Bluffing vs valuebet.

Roadmap may have been a bit too heavy a word.
It is more a prioritizing list. ♦

Been thinking about why I write in this blog and what it is doing for me.
To me it is a way to really put labels upon things.
To express my subjective view of what this poker trip is about.

I'm learning poker for freedom pure and simple.
It is freedom from certain perspectives.
It is hard to explain since the psychology behind it is deep,
but basically I'm a free spirit that always end up opposed to society at larges agenda.

Now that I can play poker it is time to get society to pay back with interest the transgressions
I feel I've been put trough by certain collective forces.
I don't really expect anyone to understand.

In general I'd like to push myself hard and take one thing at a time.
I don't like rushing ahead and try everthing at once.
A trait I've gotten from martial arts practice no doubt.

Having fought with strangers hand to hand who wanted to hurt me,
I know that only what works count and only what you do a lot is going to count.
So I'm real slow to accept new methods in the "arena" (table) as I don't like to use
stuff I don't get yet. Why pay money to try new techniques when you can practice them for free
and then win with them.

So I memorize and drill a lot on the basics, but it is only so much you can focus on at a time.
Now that work is over I have a lot of free time onward.
I'm going to make it count by basically, running trough my little priority list and then
make a new updated one from what I discover from that process and so on.
It is going to be great fun and challenging, no doubt. ♠_cool:

to help me learn faster and not resist as much.

It is all about the ego and its defence mechanisms.

And here I already have an example of making the subject neutral.

Been working on trying to identify the playertyps.
I'm starting to just take massive notes without playing much.
I'm figuring that the more notes I have on a massive scale the easier it will be to play.
And the experience from just analysing how others play
and putting labels on them will be good for me longterm.

Reading the article on tilt just now.

To me it seems that these two are the most tilting factors for me.

It seems like I haven't had a decent hand in ages.
I just lost a big pot.

Probably more, but I need to identify them in real life.

It is easy to spread oneself too thin.
I resisted the temptation to start to read a poker book.
I think it is more important to focus on the lessons I have right here on the bronze level.

I tried to play 2 tables at 2cent today.
Just to see how it was like.
It was interesting and a lot more challenging.
One table I won a little bit and the other I got "slaughtered".
Fortunately you don't lose too much at that level.

I've been thinking about what I want to accomplish with poker monitary.
I feel that if I can earn about $30+ a day I'm quite good as far as living from poker I think,
can move to Spain or something in some cheap apartment and just enjoy the sun. ♠_cool:

15BB at $1
30BB at 50cent
60BB at 25cent
150BB at 10cent
300BB at 5cent

Winning that amount a day at the limit I'm at now requires sick abount of skill
and probably 20+ tabling nonstop...
But going higher up it starts to become atainable pretty fast.
If you go high enough all you need is a couple of blind steals a day... ♠_o:
Then again you need massive amount of skill to play at that level.
Oh well a nice little idea to strive for anyway. ♠_grin:

Played in two micro tournament today.
And I got to the money on the second.
Returning me $0.10 on my $0.04 investment. ♠_cool:

Haha, anyway I realized that $0.02 was nothing to me and I had great fun doing it.
I could go recycle bottles to recoup my losses there if I had to.

Yeah so now I'm going to play some micro tournaments now and then just for the variation.

This was the day for loosing money and learning that you often don't win.
You just get punished over and over.

I learned a lot from posting my messed up hands though and will probably learn even more
when i get the verdict on my latest batch of hands.

In essence I think that 5cent is far from beat yet.
I'm so glad for my earlier upswing so I can weather this downswing. ♠_cry:

So I've been starting to hone in on my hand analysises.
Since I think that my understanding of what is discussed is too weak.
I will revisit and analyse the hands and what is given as advice.
This is hard work and hardly done in a day.
I think I will benefit greatly from this process.

Been fairly distracted in my life recently, but I'm back playing regularly.

I've installed a pokertracker. FPDB.
It works very well and is free. =D
Now it is a bit technical and I don't recommend it to anyone.
You have to be comfortable with reading documentation,
and just figure out stuff on your own.
If you have ever tangled with xml you know what I mean.
It isn't too hard though, anyone with half a brain and google should figure it out.

Not much more to say. I'm playing 2cent right now as I don't feel comfortable
gambling away my winnings while being distracted by all this new info.
And winning at that level seem to be almost guaranteed. ♠_cool:

Been playing about 500+ hands with the new tracker.
I've noticing lots of stuff about my play and others that is really helpful.

My VPIP is about 17 and my PFR is about 10.
So I'm fairly tight and agressive preflop.

Will continue on 2cent for a while as I notice that I'm doing several mistakes
and I won't gain from doing those at 5cent as some of them seem to be quite expensive.
Anyway I it is more interesting seeing number evidence for who is bad and not. ♠_cool:

Puh tough day.

Been playing a lot at the 2cent level.
Getting lots of practice on the fundamentals.

Sometimes I wish it would go faster, but you just have to stick with it.

Been doing a lot of others stuff today too, so have gotten my hands full.

The pokertracker is working great, and have given me a whole other view on things.
Still it was a lot to take in and only after 2400+ hands am I getting comfortable with it.
Not much more to say, just didn't want to give the impression that I wasn't playing.

So back at playing and studying poker after a slight mishap with an MMO game.
I'm prone to become addicted to videogames and suddenly I forget all about poker.
For a week or so I played very little poker.

Finally I said enough of this, made a random gen password and bricked the account.
Felt real good. ♦

So I'm at about $45 goal for coing up to 10c/20c from 5c/10c is $60.
$15 short. A week long upswing would fix it easily.

Gotta do what you gotta do.
Still studying hard, and I'm getting better.
The tracker works wonders too.
